It isn’t for “protesting”, it’s for anyone identified to be “engaging in social disorder”, which I would suggest is an entirely different thing.

As ever, though, I’d be careful of the sources of such things given it has only been posted by a ‘New York-based’ unverified journalist. You’d have fancied the Liverpool Echo would have jumped on it fairly sharpish if there was a grain of truth.

You've lost me

so has any of the protests up and down the country passed off peacefully?

after Southport it's no surprised it's kicked off at all the ones I've seen with a high turnout of nobheads on both sides

I'd be more surprised if anyone actually either went with the intention of keeping the peace, or, expected things to pass off quietly

are they really going to bother having one in Newcastle next week?

There was a protest at Wycombe but only 3 or 4 on each side turned up looked like they were all having a chat

We literally left the EU because of immigration

And nothing else, and the stupid cunts whose job it was to get us out treated us all with contempt and followed their own agendas and did everything in their power to derail the process

Are you not happier now we're out? Is it not the land of milk and honey you were expecting?

People who have views to express on immigration are not a "community". They are everyday folk who have views on everything from tax levels to potholes to social care. The "vast majority" are not protesting their concerns, they are expressing them whether in their own front room, on social media or over a pint at the boozer. The point is it is legitimate to have a view on immigration and in a healthy democratic society folk are entitled to articulate it. The act of doing so does not make them "extreme".

All bob on but a vigil for 3 murdered girls was not the place to express those views, even more so once it was established that the killer wasn't an immigrant, Muslim, boat person etc.

After all the trouble in the week, that was caused exclusively by people within those concerned groups, nobody was going into Bolton today expecting a quiet gathering were they? The Bolton demo should have been cancelled after the trouble in Sunderland. That it wasn't suggests to me that people with genuine concerns re immigration, don't care that thugs, looters and racists have hijacked their 'cause'.

Media & Starmer are to blame.

They kept using the words “Far right” earlier in the week, when it was just simply pure anger.

The public have since thought - if you think we’re “far right” then we’ll act like that.

They fuelled the fire.

Has to be the biggest load of shite I've read on here in a long, long time.

If not ever.

Pathetic stuff. People are responsible for their own actions.

Bullshit. Labelling concerned citizens 'far right' is pathetic.

Just another 'r' word put down you lot have developed to try to shut down discussion. You'll be shutting fuck all down this time.

It works both ways: folk shouldn't be attacking police and rioting.

They also shouldn't be grooming kids, stabbing mps, soldiers and the public, nor should they be blowing themselves up to murder many folk in one go.

I feel for the rank and file police at the moment- it's their overlords and politicians who have not clamped down, leaving so many feeling ignored, without representation and helpless.

Only in your fantasies. I suspect playtime is pretty much over already. There'll be some massive hangovers and comedowns tomorrow, then a shitload of thick cunts crying in court over the next few weeks and months.
