  1. Although I don't get to read his ramblings, I do notice how quickly the beardy weirdy responds to some of my posts. An olive branch of sorts. As a true believer in conservative values and the virtues of free enterprise, it may surprise him to know that I find myself torn with the concept of the renationalisation of the rail system by 'his party'. Sure it would result in another loss making giant but I do believe that the service would be better overall than could be provided by a plethora of private companies pursuing their own profit making agendas. When you consider the ludicrously wasteful monolith of the outdated and hopefully one day defunct NHS, any rail system loss would likely be a drop in the ocean. Further, the more I see and hear of Andy Burnham, the more impressed with him I am. If he didn't have the red label I could see myself voting for him (Independent etc.). Time for a tot of whisky or summat. I must be weakening and need to buck my ideas up.
  2. Ace! Another good call! I see quite enough perversity on Songs Of Praise.
  3. On a different note, three young relatives (two with partners) moved here permanently in the last month - two nephews and a niece (exaggerating slightly as one couple arrives in Perth this coming Sunday). One couple went to Melbourne, the single nephew arrived two days ago and is staying with a mate in Fremantle. All permanent moves (one way tickets) and all in their twenties. Obvious economic benefits (one already lined up for FIFO at a Pilbara mine site on stupid wages). You would have thought that economic considerations would be the only motivation. Not so. All three concerned about the future for themselves and their potential offspring and the opportunities which may be limited in the face of burgeoning and seemingly unstoppable immigration to the UK. Refreshing to hear it from ones so young. Would have expected them to be wanting to throw open the doors like the brainwashed and that damaging kraut cretin Merkel. There's a few starting to creep in again on the north coast over here under Albanese's red rags. Hoping the blues get in next time and plug that dyke once more. With gunships.
  4. It's the hope that kills you.
  5. Does that go for weekly Palestinian supporting events in London too?
  6. Yes. From a news perspective - existing. Disgracefully biased.
  7. Listening to hysterical idiots like Spider is never a good prognosis but you knew that didn't you? Remember the dilemma he faces with choices. His predictions are based on morbid fear.
  8. Behind them with a grenade maybe.
  9. Unlikely I'll be listening to the beaded lunatic fringe of W'Ways politics. David Cameron/George Osborne? You are kidding aren't you? As wet as Rishi.
  10. Big, uncompromising centre back. Took no prisoners. A bit like Dave McKay. Apparently none of the squad did any fucking about when he was around. What we need in a PM these days. RIP Charlie.
  11. As you have no doubt noticed, the red hypocrisy over the decades of observing have bred in me an absolute and irreversible distrust. The lying bastards look you in the eye, call you 'brother' and tell you that we are all equal 'so please keep paying your union dues' whilst they stab you in the back, ride the gravy train and don't give two fucks about northern workers until it nears election time then we are back to the brother scenario for a while. Until relatively recently, Conservative types have looked you in the eye and told you they are going to stab you but that it is for the greater good. At least then you know that it is coming and, if you have anything about you can take the necessary steps to cushion any blows. Sadly, this shower at the moment are a pale shadow of what conservatism should be all about and deserve what they will undoubtedly get at the next GE. Annihilation. I do believe that the biggest mistake they made was in not getting Penny Mordaunt at the helm after Bojo went. They would still lose the next GE but it would be unlikely to be the rout that it will be and therefore be less of a climb back up the hill. Having said that, who would have believed that Labour would be back in favour so soon after the absolute mullering they received from Bojo? Almost as funny a game as football sometimes. Vote Reform.
  12. I'll respond when the honeymoon period is over for the red bastards. "Stands for the working classes". FFS.
  13. There needs to be a head shaking emoji on here. Fucking hell, she is one repulsive bint.
  14. If we all liked the same things....................... Binned it after the GHB buttfuck episode.
  15. Great win last night mate. Goodison does have a Heathrow type whine on occasion though! Better that than the victim pleas from the other side of Stanley Park mind. The candlestick makers will love you lot after last night. Profits must be booming.
  16. Aye mate - I must admit at being surprised that West Ham were reported to have made a pre-emptive strike for Amorim. Interesting that it's all gone silent after the two parties met. I suppose it's only to be expected bearing in mind that the incumbents contract has not expired yet. Surprised as I did think Amorim might have a loftier target in mind. Surely Pochettino is on shaky ground at Chelsea - mind you, would you want to work for those seemingly trigger happy nutjob owners?

    Posh

Funny game football. Might have been better waiting until after the game until having a pop at 'deluded cunts'. I think you are correct in what the result will be. Can't see anything other than a comfortable Derby win. Why set yourself up though? The 1% shot does get up on occasion. Personally, I hope the deluded cunts are right in this case. For the record, the punters club I am involved in down here does a football double every weekend. Last weekend it was a pissy $1.50 double on Atalanta to qualify (with a 3-0 lead at half time!) and a weekend Braga victory over the bottom of the league. The latter only got up in the late stages of the game! This weekend I have been able to persuade them to pair Derby County with the one they had already isolated (barcodes). This time it's a $1.72 double. Even though thousands go on, I won't be disappointed if Derby lose and we lose our stake for only the fourth time this season.
  18. Oh dear, how sad, what a shame. Let's hope the new bloke fails to slot in and wins even less.
  19. Voyager 1. Astounding to me that they were able to send a fix for a dodgy chip over 15.1 billion miles (way beyond the extent our solar system), taking 22.5 hours to get there, which fixed it from sending back messages of garbled gibberish to understandable ones. Headed off in 1977 and still expected to be transmitting for at least another year. No solar panels, just a 'long term' battery. There are/were some properly clever people about.
  20. Knowing for your ideal weight is makes for a good start. Having a target. When I feel the Dormeuil tonik trousers (don't even fucking bother if you don't wear Pantherellas) getting tighter at the waistband I have breakfast at 10am rather than 6 am. Cuts out the 10am snack. Reduce the size of the other meals by around a third. 5.2 kilo's gone in a fortnight. 3.7 to go but as others have said, the rate of loss slows right down after the early success. Reckoning on around 4 weeks to get the rest off - especially after all of yesterdays trifle.
  21. If you have no idea what England has contributed to the world then you are a bigger fucking idiot than I thought you were.
