the first and without doubt the best major of the year kicks off this thursday

this years picks

Rory 4 points win

Snedeker 1 point E/W - decent enough around Augusta, 37th, 6th, 9th, 15th, cut & 3rd. In Decent enough form this year picking up a win in feb at pebble beach. 50/1 in most places

Mickelson 2 points E/W - there isn't many better around Augusta than lefty, cut, 54th, 3rd, 27th, 1st, 5th, 5th, 24th, 1st, 10th, 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 7th. Was leading in texas going into Saturday but didn't find the extra to go on and win, with his outstanding form around Augusta, he's seriously worth considering at 25/1 EW

Hunter Mahan 1 point E/W - mixed bag around augusta, cut 3 times but he's also finished, 8th, 10th and 26th, played really well this weekend in texas, and is worth a small ew bet imo at 100/1

Rory is very, very focussed for this one

I just hope he's not putting too much pressure on himself as he wants it so much as I've had a fair few quid on him to win

Mickelson should be nowhere near it given his form over the last 18 months, but he does like Augusta. I certainly wouldn't back him though.

I always like Snedeker but he's had his own problems and injuries - jury is out on him

Obvious bets are Jordan Speith and Jimmy Walker

I shall be putting my "other than Rory" bets on tomorrow

Very excited though

Suits a drawer or lefty.

Bubba Watson - Should be favourite imo, won 2 of the last 3 masters and course is made for him. Would be a massive shock if he doesnt at least make the top 5 or 6.

Dustin Johnson - Different animal since his sabbatical and having a kid and cleaning his life up. He can take the same shortcuts that Bubba does around here he hits it that long so he should be in the mix.

Phil Mickelson - Course suits his game a treat and his price is very juicy. Seems a lot sharper again this year, putting has been letting him down but he seems to have fixed that. Would be surprised if he isnt at least in contention on Sunday.

Patrick Reed - Shot shape suits the course and does seem to handle the pressure well. I reckon he will be there or therabouts.

The prices for Rory and Spieth are a complete joke imo.
