My lad played in the BBDFL U8 cup a few weeks back, and one of the lads on the opposing team was massive. Never 8 years old and just glided across the pitch, pinging passes eveywhere. Told us at full time he was in Blackpool's academy. You can ask to see team sheets before cup games, but no-one does and you'd just look an arse if you did. My lad played in the tournament at the Toughsheet on Sunday. He managed to score a couple which he was absolutely buzzing with. So was I!

Couldn't get either of the Champs League semi finals this week on a steady stream, gave up in the end. Does anyone use anything other than a Firestick? Wondering whether it's worth splashing out on a decent android box instead.

Are there any under 8 leagues nearby that play on Sunday mornings? Pretty sure there are some, but can't find details when I search online. Looking to get the lad playing on a Sunday.

Lots of articles this weekend about Amazon blocking certain apps on their devices. Apparently there is a crackdown and people getting their wrists slapped because of it. These stories seem to do the rounds about once a year, but maybe not on the same scale as this weekend. My lad had his U7s final at City's academy this morning. 5-0 down in the first five minutes, looking very grim. Amazingly pulled it back to be winning 6-5. They were neck and neck until we went 11-9 up with 2 minutes left. Thought the job was done. Unbelievably the other team scored 3 in the last 2 minutes and we lost 12-11. Lost it with literally the LAST kick of the game. Genuinely gutted, but massively proud of all of them. He played the full 40 minutes and walked off the pitch absolutely shattered and in tears. Chin up lads.

My lads under 7s team won in the BBDFL cup semi final on Saturday. Playing the final at Man City's academy on Saturday morning. I've honestly not been as excited for a football match in years.

I've watched loads of travel bloggers videos on YouTube about that part of the world. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan all looks fascinating. Turkmenistan looks bizarre. Definitely plan on visiting at some point. Minus the running obviously. Best of luck.

Handy this thread has popped up as I'm on the lookout for some new trainers. Are there any other Adidas trainers that aren't suede apart from Sambas? Just want a smart pair under £100 that won't get ruined in the rain. Also, what makes certain trainers fall under the category of women's? I quite like the Adidas Japans, but every site I've seen them have them as women's?

Since the problems with it the other week, I find that live TV is a bit hit and miss. I use it on a firestick and if it doesn't work, I just force stop the app, relaunch then refresh the live TV and it's back up fine. The android app on my phone isn't working though. Probably need to reinstall.
