    Best 11

I mentioned him earlier. Absolutely can’t be forgotten when we are taking championship survival next season 😜
  2. 10.31 out of Piccadilly is busy 👏

    Best 11

Trafford Jones Santos Johnstone Fossey John Williams Morley Lee Charles Dapo Currently our best 11, as in tomorrow, is in my opinion, the one above. The only change I would make is Dapo in for Baka. I’d like to see how Dapo and Charles link up. Everybody else has to earn their place. I’d possibly see Dempsey (if he comes) in for Morley to booster the experience and leadership. The attacking players; Amaechi, Dadi, Baka will be impact players from bench and possibly keep their place if they are consistent/fit enough. Thomason is the next (and more than capable stand-in) midfielder when needed. Same for Aimson who when we need more physicality is more than a good replacement at the back Sheehan and Isgrove will add quality when fit. Looking much better now
  4. I’m hoping he fits in into the SKD, EHD mould of don’t give a shit what they did before, they are signed to be part of where we are and where we want to go. Love the bit about his awareness of our Icelandic history with players and how he followed us when we were younger. Sounds like he’s made concessions to be here too, to get the deal over the line.
  5. I thought the same. Although I thought on Saturday he looked more like his old self. So I’m also going with the injury, the lay-off, the Covid and fitness impacting on his performance. He’s such a key player, we need him at his best.
  6. There were times last year when I thought Brockbank performed admirably - at right back and on his non-natural side at LB. I don’t think any amount of coaching would have made him a better league one player in any position. On his CV it will be a plus point, that at the level he can perform, he can do it in various positions.
  7. Not many at all now. I wish all these young men moving on all the best. They will forever have a place in our hearts.
  8. I don’t see that at all. Conversely, it’s because of his versatility that he played as many games as he did. Good luck to him
  9. The Penalty spot has been preserved and a memorial spot is visible in Great Lever’s Burnden Asda
  10. Aye I’m turning the fuckers off now, I’ve seen enough. Or should I say heard enough from the Twats behind the goal
  11. Well there’s the first 😂 Wigan’s subs seem to be making a difference, Morecambe gone right off the boil now. Note to self. Don’t make rash judgements from 15 minutes of football. Now I know why I don’t comment during BWFC games
  12. Just tuned into the Morecambe v Wigan game from start of 2nd half. Morecambe are all over Wigan! (cue 3 Wigan goals and them romping home!) That front 3 including Stockton and Arthur look really dangerous! Their commentators (the same muppets from last year) are saying they’ve played this well in most games this season! Makes you wonder how they’re 4th bottom
  13. Good point It’s hard to think back and remember who was captain and when, but I’m agreeing with you. I think at some point all of them captained our side. To me it doesn’t matter who gets the label, the more leaders and “captains” you can get out on the pitch, the better. If we are lucky enough to confirm Dempsey, then he goes out there as a captain/leader and takes on the same responsibility as Santos/Jones/Baptiste/Williams.
  14. If our ground was in the town centre we’d have 25,000 on every week
  15. In x 4 Really looking forward to this. COYW 👏
  16. Did you not have vouchers for Rotherham, Fleetwood, Plymouth and Portsmouth?
  17. Yes, I was surprised to see the way we set up. But fair play to IE for trying something different and it worked. We looked more resolute and balanced
  18. Good summary 👍 Agree Lee just shaded MOM, but I thought everybody contributed to that win today. Great feeling winning again
  19. Fair play mate a good call from you which I questioned. Dapo coming off the bench and netting the 2nd could be a master stroke in building his confidence back up. The most satisfying 3 home points of the season Nice to see @little whitt in the hotel beforehand Time to get leathered!, COYFWM
  20. Just checking in for my masochistic self-flagellation 5:00am session
  21. You know as well as I do it’s very unlikely to play out that way. But yes it’s good pub talk. We are just as likely to beat Ipswich, beat Sunderland and lose to Crewe. That’s the joy of supporting BWFC!
  22. But I genuinely feel like that’s across the board for lower level keepers. I can’t remember an opposition keeper having a blinder against us in the last 2 seasons either (Although it would help if we could get some meaningful shots on goal, but that’s a different debate! 😂) But even in games we’ve won, narrowly lost/drawn when we’ve played well I can’t recall an amazing performance from a keeper at this level. Although that Cambridge fella had a belter against Newcastle last week.
