Funny how those calling teachers work shy and lazy are those who are on here 24/7 posting away during the day as they 'work'
-
It can only be for coach hire but seems really expensive (presuming it's a local school) Pupils where I work pay £10 to cover admission (a few quid) and coach hire for a trip to Malton in North Yorkshire. And yes there will be a risk assessment
-
Probably exaggerated but there were pockets of it on the night I was there

Brilliant club - was like being at a rave in the early 1990's but more style. Great atmosphere - and I was quite cynical before I got in. If here, you'd have young people (I'm nearly 40) staring at you for daring to be there but that doesn't seem to happen in Germany.
-
To be fair even the Afrikaner kids were ok and pretty open minded.
-
Attitudes to attempts to integrate - particularly in schools which had been 99% white only but are now mainly black only. Never heard kids expressing racist views though ....just the staff.

Agreed. A shame that he lacked the youth and vigour to enforce more significant change but he was in his 70's by the time he was released and the ANC had developed into something else without him. About 5 years ago, I had the experience of working in several schools in Pretoria - and it didn't take long to realise the problems that have prevented the country moving forward.

No - that's Fibrelec. Fibrlec are based in Bury

Well if he was told to get us into the play offs, he would have proved he could meet his objective. If we had then beat Watford over two legs, he'd have proved to me that he can handle the big games.

Sensible in my opinion. If the season had started with Freedman's first game, we would have finished in joint 5th place.....with Ipswich. A club with a far inferior squad and in MM a manager that a lot on here don't consider good enough for us. I do see the signs of a very good manager - though he got it wrong in 2 high pressure games (Leicester away, Blackpool home) Yes Medo looks very promising....but I will wait and see before I judge him to be a genius in the transfer market. He has made it clear he doesn't like getting players on loan - yet Spearing (who the so- called moron Coyle signed) and Dawson have been our best players. That said, I have a funny feeling we might have a Rioch de ja vu situation next May - winning the play off or promotion only for DC to move onto his next 'project'
-
I hope you are all right but I'm not convinced by Freedman......yet. Is his stock right now that much higher than Coyle's was when he joined us? I know he has done ok this season but surely a good few managers would have done the same with the squad he inherited?
-
It struck me as a very arrogant move by the club and probably summed up the mood around the club leading up to the Blackpool game.
-
I know Peter pretty well so think I'm in a good position to judge.. I didn't mean 'if you bump into him, he will start telling jokes' Er no thanks...think I'll pass on the list of people that you find funny.
-
Didn't see the show on tv but if you ever have the chance to chat to him you will see he's a naturally funny guy. He finished writing his new show for the BBC last week so hopefully it will be on tv soon

Ha ha ....did think you were making a strange point! No you're right - tickets are dearer depending on category and where you stand.
-
No it wasn't the cheapest - there were tickets at €12 but that stand had sold out
-
What is? I will dig out the tickets - though I must admit the Bremen and Espanyol games were 5 years. The other games were all in the last 2 years. FC Union game was in February and I paid €14.
-
In the last few years I have been to games at Werder Bremen, Espanyol, FC Cologne, Hertha Berlin and FC Union Berlin - most expensive ticket was €18
-
I watched the Murray fight and had him winning by 2 rounds - he boxed brilliantly at times. It's a shame he has had little publicity.
-
Me too - would be the ideal scenario
-
Think I would be up for that - had a great time at Monchengladbach a few years ago
-
Mmmm I'm presuming that this poll was 'Greatest PM's in the history of Sky TV' .....and confused Churchill with the insurance dog. Clement Attlee would arguably be at the top of any list based on the last century.

I've read loads of books both pro and anti Thatcher and her policies (and I don't mean in the last 24 hours) and the divide she created in the 80's got me interested in history and politics. I have a pretty negative opinion of her but I can see why some defend her. One man's meat is another man's poison.
