  1. My first away game was when my dads best mate from work; a Citeh fan from Little Lever. Took me to Maine Road in their end in the late 70's when we played there. I remember we were losing 2-0, then pulled one back, but we then left about 10 mins before the end to avoid the traffic. To this day I don't know if the result was 2-1 to them or 2-2. I know in the 2-1 defeat they were winning 2-0, but not sure about the 2-2 game. Anyone remember?
  2. If they had pre-agreed the game to be played on the Saturday in event of a draw, then surely they would have announced it by now. Even though most fans would like it to be on the Saturday, it isn't really ethical to change the date of a match with just 6 days notice. More importantly I would think the police would have something to say about being given so little notice, particularly for a local derby where there might be some trouble. They will need to arrange for a lot of officers to be there and 6 days is probably not long enough, isn't that why FA Cup replays are now 9-10 days after the original tie rather then 3-4 days? You can see that I am clutching at straws.
  3. Don't think I haven't considered it. I've grown quite attached to my head though.
  4. quaditto I have booked a hotel for my wife's birthday on Saturday. Ironically the hotel is in Darwen, so I will be gutted if it is played on the Saturday as I can't go. I haven't missed a match at Ewood since we resumed playing them in the '90s.
  5. If you've got NTHell/Telepest you can connect a DBox 2 (Cable Box) to the line and receive every channel being broadcast including Premiership Plus. They cost about ??100 from e-bay. Info about how to set them up can be found here http://www.world-of-digital.com/forums/for...splay.php?f=216
  6. Strange but you don't see all these religious nuts demonstrating outside sea food restraunts, against people who eat Crab or Lobsters. http://www.godhatesshrimp.com/ They are just bigoted idiots who pick and choose which laws from their bible that they wish to follow.
  7. http://www.soccerbase.com/head2.sd?team2id...697&team1id=354 yet another fact that proves we are better than them.
  8. Easiest way is to get a Router. The Router connects you to the internet and then both of your PC's connect to the Router. Obviously it is a bit more complicated than that, but not too much. What kind of Internet connection do you have? ADSL/Cable etc

    ip numbers

If you have a dynamic IP from your ISP it will change every time you make a connection to the internet, so either reboot your PC or cycle the power on your Router and it will change. If you have a Static IP from your ISP then you will have to contact them to get it changed. And if you're worried about being traced by the police for downloading something you shouldn't have done, then it's too late as it will all have been be recorded by your ISP. [-X
  10. Well fortunately that isn't the case otherwise the BNP would be in power after the next general election.
  11. I work in tech support, and on Thursday one of the lads answered a question "No", the TW@T on the phone said "Shouldn't that be 'No Mr Customer' " I wish it had been me who had answered the call ;vv
  12. Don't try and remove Internet Explorer as its integral to Windows and might cause you even more problems. If you have more than one PC does that mean you are using a Router to connect them both at the same time ? Try typing in this IP address instead of a web address 66.102.11.104 you should get Googles web site. If you do then something is wrong with the DNS on that PC. If that doesn't work then bring up a DOS window. (click Start, choose Run and then type command and then click OK) in the DOS window type ping 66.102.11.104 if you get a reply then you have an internet connection.
  13. If it's Internet Explorer that you are using then try this. Click on tools/internet options/connections and then Lan Settings and make sure that the proxy server box is unticked. What homepage are you getting displayed ? Are you using a different web browser or a different PC on the same internet connection to get on this site ?

  15. St Stephens and all Martyrs, Lever Bridge, and then Canon Slade. Both are Church of England schools and have left me with a dislike (understatement) of Religion. Neither was I involved in any inter-school sraps either (boring bastard I hear you shout)

  17. that means that his mum can't take the blame, as he hasn't had the bollocks to tell her about it. [-X [/url]
  18. I don't know any so that must mean that I am officially old.
  19. I would recommend you catch the tube and get off at Tottenham Hale, then catch the train to Northumberland Park. Did this last season and had no problems getting on a packed train after the game. It's about a 10 minute walk from the ground and there is a big pub outside northumberland park station called 'The park' http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?cli....x=1&left.y=141 There's a map so you can see how far it is to walk, Northumberland park startion is at the edge of the map on the right. It's not as close as White Hart Lane, but less crowded.
  20. Would someone be kind enough to pm me with a pub showing the match. The last time I tried to watch a match here (Chelsea away last season) the manc twats turned over to the Liverpool game after 5 minutes because the scousers were losing. Ta
  21. I've not heard of any those pubs.
  22. I'm just too lazy very post often.
  23. They've got 200 beers on tap. :bb :D/ :Bb Check out the web site www.beer-festival.co.uk
  24. They can't access your ADSL connection, unless they can connect to your Router. There are a few ways to prevent this. 1. Change the SSID name of your network, and turn off the broadcasting of the name. (If the hacker doesn't know the name, he can't connect to the Router) 2. You can turn on on the WEP encryption (password), so that to connect to the Router your PC need to provide the password. Once set up, this is done automatically once set up (sounds like you may have already done this, as you mentioned network key ) 3. Your Router will have an 'Access list' where you can specify exactly which devices are allowed to connect to it. This is easily done as each network device in the world has its own unique MAC address, and you just tell the Router the MAC addresses of your PC's. Personally I'd do all 3, and unless you have 1337 h4x0R living nearby you will be fine.
