Left for 'health reasons'. He swore to Whelan on 'his children's lives' that he's not been tapped up and he's leaving for his health. I believe him. It's on the video interview with Whelan. On Jewell's last interview he says having 4 or 5 last day scrapes in his career isn't good for his health.

I like watching good football. I don't really mind if that means Utd signing tevez, but obviously i'd prefer if it was Bolton signing Ronnie, Rooney, Tevez and the whole United team I suppose.... Anyway, I've said it before, I'm not from Bolton so I'm not brought up to hate Man U.

I thought that too, but could be interesting, like Barca with no high balls at all. Rooney, Ronnie and Tevez/Eto/whoever they buy up front and Carrick,Scholes + Hargreaves in midfield. Could make for some fantastic football, or not.

They were terrible alright, hardly the best team in the world now. It'd be great if Saviola would reconsider joining Bolton.

But he is quitting Wanderers before he turns pro. And Bartley is booked in to join Arsenal's young aces on an end-of-season tour, with a contract expected to be signed soon. Bartley has been offered terms to stay at Bolton, but feels better deals are on available. Tottenham and Everton are interested, but Arsenal seem to have won the race.

Ah now, he's touted as "the next micah richards", who is of course an established world class player in his prime, and not just some young lads who's got a string of first team appearances under his belt. I always think it's a bit ridiculous how some people can get so impressed by a few decent games without messing up too badly, suddenly they're the next big thing.

Says he's been nursed by Bolton since he was ten. My guess is he'll go to Arsenal, be given his chance and score a header against us every time he plays for the next 15 years.

It'll be interesting to see how the players handle themselves after HT, and what he says to the telly (if anything) after the match. I just hope it's not gonna be like Roeder, "wah, look at our injury list...". Looks like BSA in there anyway, booed off at HT, losing at home.
