  1. The Borg got 2 tonight. He's got 12 in 18 since he left, makes me wonder if maybe i'd prefer to have him still here instead of say, Vaz Te. He'd could be like Solskjaer. He didn't even do that bad, with 7 in 19 compared to Vaz Te's 3 in 51 for us. At least he knows what he's able to do (score goals), and does it well even if he didn't contribute much otherwise.
  2. "TAL BEN Haim kept England's Wayne Rooney quiet as the Three Lions could only manage a goaless draw against Israel - a result that makes qualification for Euro 2008 even more difficult. The Wanderers star was in outstanding form as he helped the Israeli defence to a shut out against the likes of Rooney, Jermain Defoe, Jermain Defoe and Frank Lamapard. The resulkt leaves England lagging behin Croatia and group leaders Russia in the standings." From BWFC site, obviously the results got them so depressed they forgot how to write properly.
  3. Pretty good goal he scored too, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnHVEpH4V4w
  4. Vaz Te got a goal for Portugal u21's last night too.
  5. Alright, he's no wonderkid yet, but Sam must obviously see something in him, keeping faith this long and getting the top surgeon for him. Didn't Hierro rate him highly too, I think.
  6. Maybe the Fiorentina scouts have a golden touch then, just look at Chiellini and Maresca now, very good players.
  7. What about O Brien, he'll be back next season. I feel like I'm the only one who ever mentions him, he is still there!
  8. Same old story here, if your going to say how he's trouble then you should be aware that any bolton fan will point to Diouf and Anelka, and how he sounds like Allardyces type of player, we'll get him playing the best football of his life etc. etc..
  9. It sounds to me like he probably rates him, but knows how most people see Davies as an admission that it's gonna be long balls up all the time.
  10. "Our mission in England was with the aim to open contacts with medium-small clubs like Middlesbrough, Bolton and Portsmouth," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "We want to open a relationship with view to possible sales." Italian sources claim Fabrizio Miccoli - on loan at Benfica, Marcelo Zalayeta, and Robert Kovac are amongst the players being offered for sale. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...r+English+talks Miccoli's a good player, nippy and full of tricks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBlnxFcjU0A Goal vs Livepool No goal, but great skill I don't know much about Kovac but I thought he's supposed to be alright
  11. With the new rule being brought in that would allow the likes of Lampard to go for 8 million doesn't that mean that Jussi, Gardner and Diouf all are available to buy out their contracts this Summer?
  12. Leroy Lita and Chopra both have a good case for a call up, and Nugents well down the top scorer in the Championship
  13. It doesn't say much for the Premiership if we're 5th and, judging from all this here, have hardly any decent players at all. I don't think it makes sense to criticize the players and then go on to have a go at the manager. If the players are poor and the team is doing well, then the manager is good. With all the TV money coming in it'll probably test every team how good they are with their cash and if Anelka stays and 1 or 2 players recapture some good form (like Gardner and Nolan) theres a good chance the weak spots in the team should be patched up during the transfer window.
  14. I've done http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChildrensFuture/ and http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Anti-GaySpeech/ -If it's signed by someone called LES BIAN it really gives it credibility.
  15. Nicklas Bendtner is fairly tall and still growing. That lads gonna be very good.
  16. shweltic war shwiiiitt! I like their commentary on rooney vs portsmouth just for the amount of "oh-ho"s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhrVbFzMd7g
  17. It's a bit harsh saying that Joey "doesn't look the real deal" given that he hasn't played this season. He did well enough when he was fit.
  18. The way Reading are going there's still a good chance he might stay on there. He's keeping his options open, but hasn't ruled out staying.
  19. The right back position is very open to competition at least, maybe michalik or one of the youngsters might step up.
  20. According to the Guardian it was 21,088. I think RayVon was probably closest with 21,169.
  21. I guess he's lucky we didn't get any 3 minute hat-tricks or his balls would've exploded.
  22. True enough about Stelios, but what about poor Pedersen. He looked like he didn't know what was going on. Final minute he gets the ball and decides to take on 2 arsenal players using his blinding pace.
  23. --> QUOTE(Frandsen 8 @ Feb 14 2007, 07:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Jay-Jay Okocha The Nigeria international, now playing in Qatar, was a mainstay of Bolton's midfield between 1998 and 2002" lazy reporting, so was he playing for us in division 1???? FFS get it right! They only do it because it's fashionable to stick up for bolton now. The guardian probably just wants to look very alternative to BBC, only without actually putting that much research effort into the article. Guardians very good usually though, their rumor mill and match commentary have a lot more spirit to them than the beebs usual old : 12:13 Shot, Gilberto. Right of penalty area, 12 yards. Saved (punched) by Friedel resulting in open play. although i think the beeb are trying to change to something more human lately.
  24. That goalie has football pie all over his shirt!
  25. Theres a good few of them, (meite, TBH, diouf, teymourian..) just more from Arsenals point of view (toure, clichy, denilson, diaby, hleb, ljunberg, aliadere). Arsenal player very well, and actually physically challenged Bolton for once.
