  1. Depends on how he sees it. No prem clubs need a manager at the moment and he may feel its prudent to take something a bit lower profile until he's rebuilt his reputation. He also would get more 'love' from supporters which would be beneficial.
  2. He will. So far done nothing wrong apart from being stupid naiive etc.... Many a chairman would love Sam as there manager and his record is good. Hope sweaty ken's on the case as we speak. Fair point, but its his prerogative- perhaps he's wise enough to have irons in the fire knowing the england job wouldn't last forever.

  4. Don't think folk are defending him because he managed us. Its because he's only said what most people believe. Doing a mate a favour and met a few blokes and had a few drinks. Don't see it as greed agreeing in principle to do some extra work- especially given he stated it would have to be approved by his paymasters. He may or may not be dodgy but they gave him the job knowing his history. England managers are still people with feelings and beliefs and if you want them to be more like diplomats don't expect them to be good at managing the england team. I've a lot of time for Matthew Syed and he isn't happy with what's gone on. A bit of a gobshite he may be but there's no wrongdoing (yet), and with proven man management expertise he should have been slapped on the wrist a left to get on with it.
  5. I'm changing to a Europe win. Some strange happenings with the septics, casts doubt on the spirit within the camp.
  6. Just brushing up on propulsion techniques
  7. Spot on. Context is important, from the little I've seen it seems he was just talking in general terms. Daft bugger though.
  8. SSN wouldn't name eight premier league managers involved. Allegedly
  9. A few weeks after I moved in to my current house I was removing some bedroom cupboards and found a pair of lacy ones the previous occupant had left behind. Covered in spider webs and all manner of 'stuff'. You'd have loved them.
  10. Depends if a banana is involved.
  11. Not seen it all but from what I have I reckon he's just being his normal self. The very same Sam that many of us doubted would get it because he's outspoken. His comments on ' Woy' were hardly severe and actually more critical of the players. It was a private conversation the likes of which many of us have and plenty of us criticised Hodgson- what's the fuss about. Even the business re third party ownership he was giving them his knowledge and names some involved. Yes he's been naiive, stupid etc but mostly saying what folk already think. Be interesting to see what will happen with players if their behaviour turns out to be much worse. Unless he's shown to be doing anything illegal then let him get on with it. He was appointed warts and all. Whilst it might be in the media's interests to dig up these stories, perhaps they'd be more respected for investigating crime, paedos, etc.
  12. You're OK so long as you're in a zorb.
  13. I'm surprised he'd be bothered to get out of bed for that. Not short is he.
  14. Are you related to Parky?
  15. What are the odds he will be managing us in the new year?
  16. I'd be more worried if he had no idea. He's already said things were found to be worse than first appeared once he took over.
  17. Chateau neuf de glycol. The business.
  18. Can Google translate- spear knickers?
  19. Bit ahead of here. Wanted to do a harvest at a couple of the Herefordshire/welsh ones but they tend to fall in term time which fucks it up. Seems a good do- volunteers pick the grapes then at the end of the day have a big slap up meal and get a bottle.
  20. Did you visit any vineyards- soon be coming up to picking time so would have looked quite impressive.
  21. Not sure wheater's knees will stand up to two games a week anyhow. Not too concerned about Buxton.
  22. A church-mosque complex. Nice
  23. Looking a scores, seems that if a wicket or two is lost early then more seem to follow, maybe an over generalisation. Was wondering players being signed up from feeder clubs are just not as good at batting as they need to be, or is Lancashire not prepeparing them well enough? Croft this season been indifferent to say the least, proctor inconsistent etc. Am I overly concerned and younger players will improve in coming seasons? Just trying to understand why for a few years the batting seems to lack consistency; club have been a bit of a yoyo team.
  24. Not just the ground though is it. Some of the body language from your players was shocking. Antonio letting people run past him. Hardly worthy of international recognition. Like our lot last season.
