Haha well Messi as been the best for many years now and I've grown up watching him week in week out, but there as been years where he's still been the best player but didn't win due to others winning other competitions, so now he's won the World Cup and had a good season stat wise, I think it's only fair to assume he deserves it.

Messi Overall play, goals, assists, chances created, dribbles etc Haaland is incredible and he scored goals like a younger/ Barca Messi used to surpass/get near. He also of course plays in a stronger league, but Messi as proved in the *World Cup it doesn't matter the opponent or the quality. * the World Cup being to many the pinnacle of football, the only thing missing from Messi's honours, the thing people were on the fence about deeming Messi the goat, that alone disregarding stats and subjectiveness will get sentimental voting. The only thing to not look kindly on Messi is PSG's Champions League and that Messi even though he's still providing incredible moments, isn't the Messi of old, at 35/36 that's expected. and if you completely disregard Ligue 1 because of it's standard then you have Haaland in all comps v Messi at the World Cup, which Haaland wasn't even in, so what do you judge them by? it's like people will vote for goal of the season on it's importance rather than what the actual goal looks like, it's all opinions, what is wild is to say Messi wasn't even top 10.

Ansu before his long injury was every bit as exciting and class like Barca's new star 16 year old Lamine Yamal, but he hasn't been the same since, gets the odd goal but hasn't got back to the level he was at, struggles to get starts 'cos Xavi likes Gavi or another mid playing false LW with Balde acting like a LW/LWB.

4 goals and assist from Adeboyejo so far, great start from him and the lads. The 2nd halves are not as entertaining due to us killing the games off in the first, but I'd like to see more of Gomes, he's only shown glimpses, some nice reverse passes, but it was tough with 10 men tonight to create much, Adeboyejo's 4th goal looked tight. Maybe Charles said something, because if not that was well harsh, but wouldn't be surprising given the yellow car he gave to Ashworth for feck all. Baxter and Dacres-Cogley seem to have filled the Trafford and Bradley roles very well, great assists by DC and Maghoma, on a plate for Vic, Baxter made 3 great saves in a minute 2nd half, when Fleetwood looked threatening.

Randell started poorly with 2 misplaced passes then almost under-hit one back t' keeper before he was taken out with a yellow card tackle, but not much complaints, maybe we should have scored more, but with Evatt not pleased with us settling for 3 vs Lincoln, reckon we'll see more in the 2nd. Some lovely passing moves and both full back's are getting in crosses, Adeboyejo playing well, but for me Dempsey is a class above this league.

Didn't take long for Haaland

Home kits are naff, but the red and purple away's look great.

It's easy to predict Bolton will be up there come end of season, think we'll also score loads more than last season, longer matches and scoring set pieces more often will see to that. Our new goalie may not have an easier game, though I think there's probably more than half of the teams very similar to Lincoln, who just won't be able to touch us, especially at home.

At times our football was class, the final ball just lacking for what would have been some great team goals, Iredale and Randell Williams was very good on the left side, could have been more, but a great start to the season.

I'll not post it, but former Real Madrid Marcelo just broke someones leg accidentally, it's one of the worst I've seen, grim.

2-2 but the series could easily have been 4-1 England with us not taking those last wickets in the 1st test and the rain preventing us winning the 4th. Moral victory, what a great series!
