This Weather.....
Someone else posted this a while ago. The Cleggs Lane bit that you mentioned was my playground as a kid. The Loop Line keeps being extended. Monton, Tyldesley and Leigh are all accessible. Its great for all ages of cyclists and walkers. Ill look into the Bury ride.👍

This Weather.....
Currently 20 deg. Bike ride after breakfast. Loop line from Farnworth then along the path towards Middlebrook. Passed a fellow cyclist in Great Lever at 9.30. He’d stopped to drink his can of lager. Run out on the Lambretta, a bit of gardening, cleaned the BBQ, prepared the chicken souvlaki and now sat in the garden reading a book with a glass of Czech lager. Forecast snow at the weekend.

The Prophet Mo, an illustrator and a teacher
RE lessons these days, in none faith schools, involve educating the kids in various faiths. This involves the good and bad of each faith. Sometimes the bad upsets the radical types. Doesn’t mean it’s wrong to teach it. It doesn’t matter if you or anyone else thinks it’s bullshit. It isn’t relevant. Some people believe in whatever faith they have been brought up with. Whether you or they are right will never be proved.

Just for once, try not to to divert the argument from what it is.

The Prophet Mo, an illustrator and a teacher
It’s more than shit and it’s more than a shame. The teacher has been hung out to dry. Get those protests out. I may even join myself. First time ever.

RIP Frank Worthington
Privileged to have been there at Blackburn, Old Trafford, Burnden for the Ipswich goal and Maine Road for the right foot volley. (Actually sat right behind it) It was shit in the 70,s.

Winter of Covid International cricket
Great innings by Bairstow. Saw him in a bar in Cape Town last year. He smiled as he walked past and I assumed he’d gone to the toilets. I was waiting for him to come back and introduce him to my wife. He didn’t come back😊

These are strange times. China engaging in slavery but no protests out on the streets. Another Nationalist Party in Scotland, pretending to be socialists. A new US president who doesn’t seem to know what day it is and people think that’s normal. The EU don’t seem to know what day it is and people think that’s normal. Theres probably more but I only read the BBC news site for 10 min.

Happy St Patrick’s Day
The Irish are an easy target for some. The usual hypocrisy by people who shout racism at every opportunity. I’m not aware of any Irish ancestors but lots of Irish friends and Eoin Morgan gained his 100th T20 cap yesterday in the win against India. 👍

The Dying Arts of Children.
My Mother in law and her large family were born and brought up in Mancroft. No one on here will meet a more decent and nicer family. Me, I was brought up in Little Hulton. The building of the council house estates around us was a playground of epic proportions. 5 of us in a two up two down terrace with an outside loo meant home was really just a bed for the night. Always outside playing.

Sarah Everard
A ‘man’ has been charged with her murder. A court of law with 12 jurors will decide. Not you. Unlike you, I have a real life so I will leave that there for you to ponder.

Sorry I missed the joke. Was it a joke? This did start off as a thread about the tragic death of a young woman. I’ll leave it at that. You can carry on.

Just catching up on this. Don’t think I’ll go any further. You obviously didn’t get the memo about the bigger picture.
