  2. They'll no doubt be up on a hate crime charge as some butcher will be offended by the use of the term flank.
  3. According to the Guardian you are a racist scoundrel then. Probably a vile, druggy hooligan thug as well.
  4. It's not sad - it's avoidable and unnecessary; frustrating would be the word I'd go with. I've said before that most policies in the UK that involve inclusion or diversity will be created by upper-middle class whites who come from leafy villages in the shires and once saw a black man when on holiday in Keeeenya. i.e they mean well but haven't got a clue.
  5. Always fascinated me. Most psychology theories suggest it stems from a within race effect - i.e. you are or you aren't one of me/mine tribe. Basic and primal. Our fear of different folk was probably more justified and necessary to our survival . . . you may get eaten! The same cognitive process that we may call racism today (or what Hitler intended) is probably no different to what the Beaker people felt that came to Britain back in the day; that man depicted at Cerne Abbas is basically a warning that 'We are bigger, stronger and have bigger knobs than you so fcuk right off or else . . .' (amusingly, most wouldn't see that as 'racism' today as both folk were white . . .) I think in the modern world our 'tribe' constantly shifts and we're still adjusting as a species to such large, changing groups. Sometimes I'm amazed we are as tolerant as we are. That said, once the food and land shortages kick in I fear the worst. That's a cheery Sunday thought On the plus side, diversity is great at breaking down those primal fears through association - but only if it occurs naturally. Force it, like often happens today, and it has the reverse effect.
  6. I agree with the PC on this one (the word shouldn't be used by anyone, or it should be able to be used by everyone - I'd prefer the former) but the consequences, given the context and age, are way over the top. Big Brother is really stamping his feet at the minute
  7. Given that they could be working with kids, vulnerable and disabled etc it seems odd in this day and age that taxi drivers aren't DBS checked like most other folk would be. Unless they are, in which case, I'm a spaztoid. Nothing to hide nothing to fear n all that
  8. Unless she was still semi-plugging the gap - that would have added insult to injury.
  9. I do like the pipes if done right. The pipes in Mull of Kintyre always bring a touch of dust for some unknown reason. I'm gonna pretend to be all butch and say it reminds of the lovely Campbeltown nectar
  10. I know what happens in the comics so have an idea; I agree though, they either build a new civilization like the old one or they all die or they find a cure. Could have wrapped it up nicely there if they'd wanted to with a promise of building things a new They'll milk the teat dry though as always
  11. Walking Dead finale - I was pretty sure it would go that way but bit of an anti-climax is an understatement Lost in Space Netfilx - shit. Reminds me of that kids program that used to be on C4 Sun mornings around 94 about a kid in a coma who went on adventures. Altered Carbon Netflix - had decent hopes for it but nah, comical really.
  12. Looking well for a Farnworth lad
  13. Not just social media. Like them folk who had all their kids xmas gear 'knicked'. I may be being harsh there but you get what I mean I'm sure. It's the Simpsons ' . . . think of the children' mentality; folk use kids to push their own agendas. Sad and a bit rum
  14. I did know that! I think this may be a bit of de ja vu I seem to remember fanny. Lots of Yoga'd up rich, young, faux hippy, tanned, toned fanny . . . I was with my Mrs! I really liked both but Agonda had about 20 huts for well over a mile of beach. Went running at 6am every morning with the sun rise then dived in the sea. Afternoon nap and a burn in the hammock. Jesus, that feels like a lifetime away at the minute
  15. Whoppers. Massive double bacon and cheese Whoppers.
  16. An alternative version (at 52 secs)
  17. The spider tank was my fave - my Mrs was nearly wetting herself ha! Tried a few bugs in SE Asia (some are quite decent) but gave it a miss there.
  18. Even for the Guardian that's poor. I could take an article on their website and take random comments that would make them look less than angelic. That they make such an issue of it being invite only is also a bit odd. Most closed groups are on FB!? Focus on Khan and leather flaps . . . I'm sure there are others singled out. Perhaps they should look at why? Not agreeing with the nob head comments mind, but as a report it's piss poor. Creating the narrative again.
  19. You have a point there to be fair. I can think of at least one organisation that is apparently run by middle/upper class white men that have now covered up two child molesting and abusing rackets . . . At least they're consistent
  20. Did I tell you I went to Dr Kenyan's bug farm last year? Pretty cool for what it was but the nibbles were a bit pricey! Little un loved it (as much as he could). Thanks Hoping to have a few days over half term as my Mrs' uncle has a place not too far away in S Pbrk If you're down there again, I'd recommend a pub/lodge called Druidstone. Used to be owned by Pink Floyd's roadies I believe so you can well imagine it's a bit hippy but an ace place with top food, ale and views.
  21. I stayed there but spent more time at Agonda beach a few miles north. Much quieter but looking at a map just now it seems like it's had massive investment so probably a Russian haven now. Loved it. Dharamshala, India (just above the town in the mountains) Chalok Lam Koh Pha-gnan, Thailand Summit of Ben Nevis. Lantic bay Cornwall St David's Pembrokeshire (I doubt there's more beautiful coastline than those last two) Anywhere in the forest of Bowland. I miss walking up there. If I ever win the jackpot I'd buy a big fook off walled mansion; gravel drive to stick the Jag on, you know? Proper England.
  22. Another one for the fiddle. Makes me want to strip off, paint myself blue and start burning down villages
  23. I'd stick a tenner on that last option - it's almost Mystic Meg level Actually he'll just be shit. Then move across the pond after everyone at Talk Sport has drained the semen out of his balls
  24. Congrats and all the best Did you used to enjoy a lie in?
