I have no time for today's youth; hoodies, quiffs, toms, their music etc. The ones who follow Bolton, though, are part of us and have been there when us older ones haven't bothered (notably away games when the ticket prices have been too high for those of us with families.) The way they get behind the team and create an atmosphere has been great. OK so they have been a bit stupid at times but it is for us older ones to look out for them and protect them until they mature. In a few years' time they will be in our shoes, bailing our grandkids out.

It's a heaven for Real Ale. The two in the station are Head Of Steam and King's Head. Head left out the station for The Sportsman or right for Wetherspoons, both less than 5 mins walk. I am not sure what the Brewery pub is you mention but the best pubs for ale are Rat And Ratchet and The Grove (both a fair walk away from Leeds Road, but worth it and should be quietish)
