Steve Harper made a career of it at Newcastle. I’ve just looked at his Wikipedia page and between 98 and 07 he played 31 games for them before starting to get in the team more regularly. But then still only played more than 20 games in a season once. 157 league games over a 20 year period at NUFC.

I just pray we can stay up next season, manage to pay all the players and staff all year and actually remain in existence. That’s all right now.

I’ve paid over £100 for Metallica at the Etihad next week. Fucking insane prices these days, but it’s a band I have wanted to see for years, so I’ll do it as a one off so I can chalk them off the list of the few bands I’m a big fan of but haven’t seen yet.

I went to games for about 10 years with my Dad, brother, friend and his Dad. When Phil and his Dad cancelled their season tickets, my brother moved to London and my Dad’s mobility got too bad for him to come to games anymore, she took up his season ticket to go with me. Its always great to spend a few hours with her at The Reebok every game. She’s now become just as big a fan as me. Great woman.
