It isn't that shut up shop, unfortunately.

I think the Morley fee is going to be close to a mil after some back and forth with Luton and Wycombe, hard to really feel anything other than happy with that deal. Seems a nice lad and I thought we had something special that first full season, but he's just never kicked on unfortunately. Goes with my best.

I think it's probably been a case of it's been easier to much easier to identify and secure wingers in this market than it has been wing backs that can improve us. They're a hot commodity and hard to find good young ones.

That's what I'm saying, we don't really have one, so let's not bother. But to answer your question a 10 to me is an attacking midfielder that can pick the ball up from deeper midfielders, find space between the opposition lines, make the odd run beyond the striker, or find balls through to him or in-cutting wingers. If you're struggling to picture what a 10 is, then from our own history imagine a Clough, Nolan, Okocha at times.

I think we can only go one up top of its Burstow with runners or Hardie if that ever happens. With the new signings and lack of proper 10 still I think my preference would be a 4-3-3. Bonham Christie, Toal, Johnston, Conway Ehrahon Sheehan, Simons Apter, Hardie, Blackett-Taylor

It seems they had resigned themselves to him going elsewhere as he couldn't play wing back so would be pointless for them... Oh how I'm pleased to be free from those days. Anyway, I'm sure it'll smart a bit to see him in white nonetheless.

Believe he's been in today, whether it gets over the line is another thing I suppose, anything could happen and Blackpool were reportedly after him earlier this week. Can play off the right or in the 10 I believe.

Blackpool fans going to have even more reason to not be happy soon, apparently.

We don't half have some drama queens following us don't we. In Schuey we trust.

I'm getting the sense that Schumacher is becoming increasingly frustrated by the higher ups inability to get a deal over the line. Had a number identified for most of this window that are for some reason dragging on and on and as that happens the likelihood of them actually coming to fruition diminishes, all while we're getting through games that they can be bedding in or making an impact on.

Politics
I've not been on this thread in some time for the betterment of my mental health, but I had to just drop in and ask. No well rounded and informed individual could possibly still be thinking of voting for Reform at this point? It's a retread of the worst government this country has ever seen, except now has a man at the helm who has failed to be elected as an MP 7 times before the last election.

Injuries
8-10 weeks is just a softening of saying out for the season isn't it really, lucky for the lad that it shouldnt harm him long term, but for us may as well write him off now and look for a replacement.

He was unfortunate with the timing of his injury I thought, EE and Simons together was looking like a formidable partnership.

I'm fine with selling Morley as long as the money generated is invested back in to the squad to improve weaker areas. As I said, I'm becoming increasingly concerned that this may not be the case. The board, or Fergal, whomever it is in charge of closing deals has me worried at their capabilities.

I am becoming concerned.

Loan from what's been said online, no one mentioned any option or obligation to make it permanent in the summer.

The obsession is baffling, but at least that's a wage (and a significant one I imagine) off the books for the year. Hopefully frees up a move for at least a wing back in, Hardie rumour won't go away but I don't know how significant his injury is.

Time for a new manager?
Wonder if the 25% who voted for him to go change their mind after that derby day away win?

Wigan Athletic (A)
Fantastic result, good enough performance and a team that at least looked like they were fighting and with the man in charge. Can't fault much at all from today other than the missed chances.

Wigan Athletic (A)
I have found myself thinking a Zach Clough type is exactly what this team in the setup is crying out for, still a damn shame how it all played out for the lad, could have been special.

Time for a new manager?
No, he was never hard, he was just clumsy and late very often. Bookings ≠ Hard.

Wigan Athletic (A)
Well, I meant more contextually this season specifically, not any given season necessarily.
