@bolty58would explode with pleasure if Johnson joined Reform I reckon.

We were promised a "well know name" defection from Labour would happen this week, so we'll soon find out. As for "recycled Tories" even you must admit it is looking a bit like that at the minute, as that seems to be who they are currently attracting

  5. Watched it on Sunday, it's pretty good as you say, nice twist. It's based on true events as well, apparently.

He's absolutely horrific, he just seems to always be shouting. I used to love Talksport, I rarely listen to it now as 75% of the presenters are fucking terrible (Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour, probably being the worst)

  8. I agree. The fact that "normal" folk are allowed to wander around with guns anyway is just utterly bonkers - but that Genie is already out of the bottle, and there is no going back. At some point in the coming weeks, and as tensions increase further, somebody is going to shoot one of these ICE chaps, and then all hell will break loose.

It certainly seems that way at the minute. We're in for a very bumpy few years I suspect. There will be more and more defections, primarily for self preservation, rather than for the betterment of the country. I can't see anything other than a hung parliament next time round, based on where we currently are, and that could make for some rather uneasy alliances, that could easily fall apart.
  10. The sooner Joey Barton is stabbed to death the better. Horrible little man.
  11. I get that, but there's always a chance he can do something a bit different, one of the few in the squad that can

for rehab maybe, but I'd guess (and it is a guess) we'll still be contractually obliged to pay whatever share of their salary was agreed to, and they'll still be classed as our squad players (unless the parent clubs agree...but why would/should they)
  13. Sweep replied to Ratwhite's topic in Terrace Talk
That's more like it. Haaland was on the bench Saturday as well, so he might be pissed off, so we should at least explore that option

indeed, and probably one from Cruella, somewhere slagging off Farage - it seems anything historical doesn't matter anymore (unless it's 50 years ago, in a playground)

I tend to agree that we probably won't see him again - I wonder if that'll force us into the loan market again, or if we'll just go with what we have

from the BEN “Amario has done some knee ligament damage like we’d feared,” he confirmed. “He has got a lateral ligament tear so he is going to be out for eight to 10 weeks, probably, so that was not the news that we wanted, a couple of months at least

no chance, he'd look a massive dick if he did, as th ereaosn he said he wanted to stand, was to stop "populists" winning the seat. I assume, as a man of conviction though, he'll resign as Mayor, and run in the by-election as an independent...........
  18. Sweep replied to miamiwhite's topic in Behind The Stands
I wonder if that fat bag of custard, Johnson, would consider it? - I have a vision of him taking over from Farage at some point
  19. Can you imagine one of our Police Officers saying that 😁 - America is just bonkers, I'm surprised there hasn't been a load of civil unrest out there yet
  20. I think there is the potential for both, he could easily leave before the next GE, if he does, that's a massive problem for Reform. As Gonzo says above, Reform may have peaked a bit too soon, although, bringing in these new people, they may now start to properly look at other policies other than immigration. May 7th will be interesting to see how they do in the locals
  21. Sweep replied to miamiwhite's topic in Behind The Stands
I don't necessarily agree, but I did just hear something mildly amusing... With both Jenrick and Braverman defecting, they've managed to vastly improve the average IQ of both Reform and the Conservative Party
  22. Sweep replied to miamiwhite's topic in Behind The Stands
I'm surprised it's taken her this long, I thought she would have gone across well before now. She's a deeply unpleasant individual, in my opinion, but she's perfect for Reform. I'd not be overly shocked if Priti Patel was the next to defect. The Conservatives who have gone across the floor, I don't think make it any more likely that Reform would win a GE, but they do make it less likely that the Conservatives will. Farage is going to have to be careful soon about how many of them he takes, as I have no doubt there will be more wanting to defect (in the interest of self preservation) There is, according to Mr Farage, a "big name" from Labour defecting this week as well, so it'll be interesting to see who that is, if he can get a few Labour moving across, then it really does put the cat amongst the penguins
  23. Happy Clapper you
  24. They should have been water cannoned into the turd laden sea

I must be in a minority of 1, a lot of people talk about how good Burnham is, I can't stand the bloke, I'm not even sure why, I just really don't like him at all, he just always seems thoroughly insincere. I'm not, for the record, a massive fan of Starmer either
