You could actually drive, get the free parking and be getting 3 cokes for 3 quid

I've not renewed as a season ticket for the first time in 27 years. 

I ain't paying £850 for access to a 6th form canteen 

 

If you require looking after with some food and drink pre/post match. What about doing what @Casino does at reflections and then buy a much cheaper ST? 

I think the point I’m making is, if you like the football on offer and you think we have a good chance of this being a memorable promotion winning season, surely it’s not as drastic as hospitality or nothing?

We do exactly the same. Three STs and in Reflections most matches. Some days I have to drive but take the soft drinks option which cost £3 after I get the free parking.

As an aside, i was in the hotel bar yesterday and the 10% season ticket discount has been removed.

You now get a card that they stamp once each week and when you've got five stamps, you get one free drink. So, if you're buying a round for 4, you still get 1 freebie after 5 stamps, irrespective of how many rounds you buy per week.

If i understand right, if 5 of you go in just for one drink, if you buy separately you get 5 stamps, on diff cards, but if you buy a round, its one stamp

If so, they dont think these things through, do they

Depends what you want. You have to commit to buying a drinks package which only offers bottles. 
 

There is food available to buy on the day but it’s around £12 for either a pizza or curry.

You pays your money and makes your choice.

The hotel reception has one of the iPad things on it. Just wait until the reception is busy and go put your reg in. It worked last season.

One of those squeezing the fans bits I was alluding to in the FV thread.

I usually have 4 or sometimes 5 bottles on a Saturday. 

Losing the discount and only getting 1 stamp per game at already high prices is hardly creating a loyalty scheme when beer is almost £6/bottle with a fiver of it being profit.

Saturdays now will be 3 beers for me
