How’s the LoV these days? Thinking might upgrade for a game before xmas?

We've gone in for the 2 FA Cup games....

Pros

Only £20

Padded seats on or close to halfway line, more legroom too....

Open from 12pm

Its warm inside

Plenty of tables - was full for the Harrogate game, but didn't feel too crowded

Plenty ale choice, draught & bottles, draught served in a glass

Food was a 7/10

Didn't see any AHM or Redcliffe's lot....

Cons

Bar staff were a bit slow, didn't show any urgency once the queues grew...

On Saturday we ordered 5 meals at the same time. 3 came within 10 mins The other 2 came about 30 mins later...

The MC felt the need to explain where folk entered the seats about 3 or 4 times....

Folk were cheating in the quiz 😁

Enjoyed our 5-a-side team get-together in the LOV for the Harrogate match. Hopefully in there for the Cheltenham game as well. It’s an alternative to meeting in the hotel or Fanzone. You get to watch the match from the comfort of an upper tier padded seat. Or through the windows of LOV if you can’t be mithered going out. There’s tea and coffee on the go, which always taste better with a slug of brandy in them! Not too fussed about the food, can survive from lunch at home to tea/dinner later in the evening.

Must be struggling to fill LoV. Other early bird prices aren't greatly discounted

And they've taken the parking off the LOV package.

When you start factoring food & drink LOV becomes very expensive for a padded seat and free hot drink

Aye, now they've taken parking and food off the price it's really not a great deal

Once a season maybe, definitely not every game

Friends went in whatever the Platinum suite has been rebranded as for the Wycombe match. Thick end of £120 to queue for chicken burger and chips. Absolute pants.

So it works out cheaper to pay as you go,rather than getting a season ticket, obviously when you take into account missed games can't see many takers for season tickets in LOV and Mcginlays.

We go in Reflections for every Saturday match and Nam Ploy for midweek. It works out cheaper than LoV and I can live without a padded seat.

The Reading match is £10 but £42 in LoV. Someone has cocked up on the pricing.

Didn't renew LOV this season as I've said previously.

It's not the same as it was . And it's not the same value.

However if you go from concourse to lov now without ever knowing the old LOV I reckon younger lot will love it.

It's busy most games apparently, I've only been twice this season. There's a lot more upgrading for the odd game than you got with old school LOV as far as I can see.

You can get chips for £2 or bring in a pastie. Or buy a meal for 12 quid.

It's not the LOV of old but I reckon Neil has hit the right tone for it in terms of profitability.

The per match price is just indicating the pro rata of the seasonal price. The actual pay as you go prices will almost certainly be much higher.

Got 2 new season tickets this year after picking games I could attend the last few years. Can the upgrading of a season ticket be done online, or is a call to Hospitality to do it, or is wait until the season ticket has been issued and then a call. Also can you pay it up over the 10 months or whatever it is? LOV is £870 per ticket inc VAT for the season x 2 is £174 a month over 10 months (if they do it), or is it pay it up all at once for hospitality?

Sorry, that all sounds very confusing.

Cheers

It’s basically what you asked for all those years but your tinfoil has kicked in now so you won’t do it 😁

Yep, it’s confusing.

Call the ticket office on 01204 328888.

They’re usually very helpful.

My main (not only, of course!) gripe about the hospitality setup in the price hike once your kids turn 12.

Under 16's get the cheapest season tickets in the ground, but 13 yr olds pay adult prices in hospitality, meaning the uplift in price from their normal seat is obscenely disproportionate.

Makes sense with the ones that include food as they’re likely to be eating an adult sized meal, but the ones that don’t include food should be the same matrix as ordinary seats.

The difference in price between your ST and the hospitality shouldn't be higher for under-16's.
If anything, they'll eat less of the type of what's offered.

If it's a £40 uplift for me to move from my ST to hospitality, it shouldn't be £50 for a kid.

That's worth 20 quid a game sometimes.

I asked for that at £600 not £840 or whatever Neil is getting these days.

Granted we've got blue painted walls, more digital marketing boards and an extra (smaller) screen but we're still in league 1 aren't we... Neil.
