Woeful, absolutely woeful according to another poster above.

I didn't go so can't comment. Just shows how opinions differ

Neat & tidy. Always looking for the ball and shifts it on quickly. And getting the number 4 shirt is clearly a big statement.

He lost the ball twice in a bad place and they should have scored from one of them

Maybe not but he has done himself a lot of good tonight the way he’s handled a very pacy Everton attack. He and Jack Iredale have been immense.

Agree with that. It’s almost laughable that Santos is in L1 and Iwobi is in the Prem. Iredale superb, less ponderous than Johnstone on the ball. Baxter good but no better than expected, that’s one position we don’t need to be concerned about. Best I’ve seen from Williams, showed some urgency. Sheehan outstanding 2nd half once Everton had taken off their better midfielders.

I'm happy with him, he's a marmite player in fan's opinions.

He fucked up twice and they should have scored at least one. He did put some good tackles in though. Best to get those bad moments out the way in friendly matches

It's mental. We were getting 8k Gates for home games on Tuesday nights in peak oblivion days.

Now we've got 13k  on for a kick about.

Told the Mrs that earlier on holiday and realised I'm about to not renew... 🤣

Not disagreeing with your general point but I don’t recall crowds as low as 8k ever at this stadium, assuming you mean league games. Happy to be corrected.

Some great passes long and short, dithered on the ball twice and was easily dispossessed in his own half giving them 2 good chances. Doesn’t have the ability to be trying to beat a man in a tight situation, just get rid.

Thought that was pretty encouraging. The new right back looks good and the keeper made some decent saves. I'd be interested in their no.61 and no.62 on loan as well if I was Evatt.

Anyone know what sort of strength the Everton team was tonight ? Second half obviously looked a very young side

First half was missing 7 first team players, 2nd half was the u21 team that played 2 days ago.

but, some top international players played tonight.

Bloody good crowd for a friendly.

Santos best player on the pitch, monster tonight….not tested against top players….but defo championship level players.

Has to be said tho….no drinks served in away end due to no internets and / or technical issues…utter shambles of a so called pro club…worst ive ever seen…not even water sold….now thats tin pot as fuck.

Pitch looked good tho, good noise from home fans….

What's happened to Maupay? When he came here with Brentford a few years back he was unplayable but he's not right popular amongst your lot, is he? Brighton cashed in at the right time?

The no drinks thing is poor.  It partly excuses the feral youth running on the pitch at the end and outraged dad scrapping with the stewards when they stopped little Keiran from doing the same!

He is not good enough for prem…and doesn't fit into how we play at all, just a terrible signing.

idiots running on the pitch.

loads left at half time wanting a drink🤣 you cant watch us sober !!!

A surprisingly good and enjoyable  pre-season 0-0, with a healthy crowd.

Negatives:

- Not putting the ball in the back of the net

- Corners

- Crossing

Positives:

- Not one poor performance out there

- Fitness, effort, application very good

- WBs, in particular Williams were excellent

- Midfield battled well, stand out Sheehan. He’s added himself to the must starts v Lincoln. His ability to receive the ball in tight spaces and be so calm, composed with his movement and distribution was outstanding.

- Defenders and Baxter did a great job . Some great saves from Baxter, some last ditch challenges and blocks and good distribution from CBs. Iredale got better as the game went on.

- But you can’t finish without lauding Santos - the only negative when he plays like that is you worry he won’t be with us long! Outstanding performance.

Pickford, Coleman, Mykolenko, gana, doucoure, dcl, danjuma, gray.

Are they injured, or were they rested?

Iwobi was excellent last night. Couldn’t work out whether he was right midfield, defender or WB!?

Both mate, rested and being careful with dcl.

Think gray is leaving anyway, but was playing for Jamaica recently so will get extended break.

Mykolenko was off gritting married or sumert🤣

Iwobi was frustrating…should have been scoring 2 or atleast testing keeper when we did open bolton up, we cant score for shit, hope the missing lads can change that.
