Will you share what they offer, if anything?

Club will be getting a chunk off sky, so perhaps not unreasonable to use some to compensate fans.

Sent an email to my mate Neil; let’s see if I get a reply.

Well apparently they have very little input regarding sky which I get

i think they might offer something like free match ticket or discontinued travel maybe

Remember when Leeds were last in the championship, before now, they were constantly on Sky

They got compo for it but it was less than what what they'd make on ticket sales had it been a normal kick off

Chairman wrote to sky saying stop showing us, we're losing money

Sky didn't give a fuck and kept showing them

A free or very reduced match ticket could soften the blow a little......discounted travel on K & F would be worthless to the majority of our away support,  i'd rather have the Carr's pasty.

They will probably offer the travel knowing hardly any will take it up

I remember that; plenty of home games iirc. I'm a bit surprised that so many would stay at home rather than attend.

Reckon the effect wouldn't be the same for us, as we have such a large proportion of season ticket holders.

As for the poppy game- they're the ones who will lose out with fewer of our lot in attendance.

About £12.5k per away team. That's based on lockdown times anyway. We actually made less money when on sky than we did through iFollow subs when we weren't!

Home team gets £30k this season for hosting a sky televised game, but away teams get less

Edited by boltonboris

12.5 k per away team?

Kinell, it's not worth bothering with, especially if it stops some of your fans travelling.

30k is hardly worth it for a home team.

The change has been made past the cut off

Maybe its on the EFL if they have mandated it

I hope we draw with Harrogate!

Possibly week after maybe

anyway I’m not stressing that far

PAL,

you do nothing but slag him off every home game, keep referring to the forest game.

anyway i'm back for  this game.

In theory any replay would need to be played week commencing the 11th.

Mon - Pompey away

Thurs - replay (means avoiding the two day gap that tends to be an issue and also precedent has been set for TV coverage IIRC)

This then moves the Bristol Rovers game to the Sunday but fits all the games in with plenty of time for planning for round 3 and still get 6 days rest ahead of the festive games. In short, by fuck we’d best win at the first time if asking.
