November 21, 20232 yr I think Sky can move games without consulting clubs up to a certain time cut-off point. After the cut-off point, the games can still be moved if both clubs agree. The money Pompey will get will more than outweigh a small drop in ticket sales and the small amount of money we get from Sky is more than the zero pounds you normally get from an away game. Money 1 Fans 0, as per fucking usual.
November 21, 20232 yr And this was moved after the cut off Reminds me of us shifting hull away to a friday so their fans could go to wembley rugby on the saturday Stinks

No-one was arsed like as we were a zombie of a club at the time. It does stink this, and we were never going to object to it either. Said it before though, this is probably going to be our last ever season that looks anything like traditional (and it'll still be a mess once international postponements are rescheduled) sounds like a Saturday 3pm will be a novelty.

Thinking back When Leeds were last in the championship before now, they were regularly on sky Their owner got pissed off as whilst they got compo he claimed it was less than what they lost in gate receipts Told them to stop showing them Sky didn't give a fuckÂ

Aye will only get worse with the new deal next season, noticed Blackburn have had Watford & Norwich away Sunday lunch times wtf think it will be a case of really picking & choosing away games and not being that weak man giving in😀

November 22, 20232 yr I can't for the life of me see any benefit in us agreeing to the switch. If it's purely for £10k or whatever, then they can fuck off.
November 22, 20232 yr As much as I’m pissed off about the switch (still not swapped trains yet), I think it needs to be viewed in the context of the overall TV money received rather than the specific £10k for this game Â

I suppose budgets will be drawn up taking into consideration the overall sky payments, so to an extent, they've got clubs by the short and curlies. Edited November 22, 20232 yr by Tonge moor green jacket

Isn't this an 'extra' TV appearance, thrown in by Sky at short (ie past the deadline) notice, meaning we could have turned it down?

November 22, 20232 yr The issue isn’t sky its what’s the point of issuing dates for changes and not sticking by themÂ

As part of the (sizeable) distribution at the start of the season, we basically accept that Sky might want to show us once in a while so got to live with it having taken the money. The fact it was moved outside of the EFL’s rules is another matter altogether and I’m disappointed in the club not kicking up a shit storm.Â
November 22, 20232 yr only interested in money, ticket price reduction would be fairest , but never going to happen, well done bolton.

A load of 1 goal wins and late winners, which is impressive, but this isn't a team blowing their opponents away. Also same as us, only played 7 away out of 16. 3 goalless draws, two 1-0 wins, and were 2 down at Reading. I'll stick my neck out and say they won't be unbeaten after they've played us!Â
