The Glastonbury Thread

Looks wank

There's a handful of acts I'll try to catch but for me it's not a patch on last year

Haven't even heard of the Sunday night headliner, SZA

Or the act before them, Burna Boy

  • Didn’t think it needed saying, but for the hard of thinking - if you don’t like what you are seeing and/or hearing at Glastonbury, just turn your telly over or go out for a walk. Nobody, and I me

  • If you want to see irony at its finest then I give you Glastonbury 2025. A festival so "free-spirited" it’s surrounded by a 13ft fence, armed security, ID checks, and its own holding pen for bord

All this about Glastonbury , I was living the dream yesterday, a 60th bday do with Reebok Voice on the Dj spot and only music from the 90s

To make you feel old , the girl whose bday it was is Beautiful South fan. They were formed in 1998, 27 years ago !

He's not even there legends act

He's the headliner on the main stage

The legends slot is Rod Stewart today

Be interesting how Rod supporter of Enoch and Nigel gets on. I am sure plenty there won’t see the irony of the chants yesterday and loving Rod today.

Good grief ! The song they played was Perfect 10 which I think was 1998.

Just seen bits from yesterday all pretty pathetic to be honest. I do get people wanting to support Palestine (not Hamas !) But that went too far IMO. It sounds like supporting Hamas.

Seen a few people on Twitter saying it is ok as at least it has upset a few gammons which is just stupid. Supporting shit actions just because it annoys someone you do not like is bat shit crazy !

Thing is this is who Bob Vylan has always been now it's on the BBC everyone has got their knickers in a twist. He's not said anything on that stage he's never said before at all his gigs.

has anyone been recently? How hard is it to get a ticket?

I'm exploring going on my own in 2027.

Call yourself a scouser? Absolutely riddled with them as  scouse OCG’s do a lot of the security.

About twenty times oversubscribed in the ticket sale. More people you can get to try for you , better your chances. They introduced a new system this year where at 9 am everyone in the queue lobby was allocated a random position in the queue.

When you've got Azealia Banks offended - you know you've probably overstepped a mark! 😂

Last time I heard from her she was sacrificing chickens in her wardrobe.

Of the sets I've seen i think I've enjoyed Ezra Collective the best so far.

Is Bobby V still available on iPlayer may watch it this afternoon if so?

Two stories from today's BBC. And guess which one is making most people angry......

Personally - I think they're both unacceptable. But I know where I'd be devoting my energies 👍
