aye

burnden stand :-$

Oh aye

Lever End - even at the age of nine I knew I'd seen something special.

burnden paddock.....e they wer the days =D> =D>

I was sat on the railings at the front of the manny road stand.

I always used to nearly cripple myself when we scored trying to get out.

BTW A Question

Who was the ball boy jumping up and down behind the goal???

I think Carlos will know this one

Jules Darby?

Burden Paddock direct in line with the edge of the box, what a view. Better view than Terry Butcher :D

Paddock memories thread called for:

Kicking off in there, little lads running like mad towards the Lever End and then when the dust settled running back to join in the chant of "you'll never take the Paddock"

House brick getting lobbed back and forth between us and Burrnley.

Kicking off against Bradford the game before their fire.

Sheff Wed fans trying to escape over the fence and one being too slow. I can still picture him draped over the fence with his mates pulling him from the pitch side and Bolton fans getting stuck in from the other including one bloke lamping him with his crash helmet.

Against Arsenal, maybe in the Cup in 1981 or whenever, Arsenal fans being led from the Lever end to Embankment and someone lobbing a milk crate from the Paddock and twating one of then on his yed; it must have hurt but to be honest he looked surprised more than anything.

Big oranage balls that mysteriously appeared and got chucked round. wondered for ages where they came from till someone on here said they were from groundsmans wheelbarrow.

Having to take the laces out of me steelies and leave them by the bogs.

Flying coffee cup that signalled it was kicking off

Many many more....cue nostalgic smilie

Just behind that goal, sat on the railings.

....Burnden Paddock!!! ....being caught off my Dad (who had decided for the only time ever to sit in the Burnden Stand) and laying into some Sheff Weds fans who had found their way into the paddock....I remember this lad tapping me on the shoulder and saying theres a bloke up there who wants you....I looked around along with all the corner paddock and there was my Dad (RIP) waving his fukin' arms about and doing his nut.....

....I said to MG and some other guys....who the fucks that and mingled into the crowd....he was fuming and red in the face....

....mighty fukin' embarrassing I might add! #-o

How did we know that it would be you that found this 'hoolies on the terrace' thread northampton :D

sadly for me I was probably kicking a ball around on the local park with my mates :-({|= I was eight and my mam thought I was too young to go to the match.. my stepdad was a United fan ;pp and kept trying to get me to OT but I knew better

after seeing that goal on telly I kept getting the 544 bus down to Burnden every home match on my own, then with a couple of red mates :D we never had enough money to get in, so just hung around town until final whistle and got the bus home :D/

I must be one of the original chav's :D :D

I was in Manny Road South when he popped up with that one.

I've still got that on video. Was it Gerald Stinstanstedt commentating..

"Oooh, what a beautiful Worthington goal..."

Losing 6-0 to U-shited was crap but the flying meat-pie that exploded on Cantona's chest made up for it, oh, and my dad won ??2K on the golden gamble and treated me..

Was it Cantona's chest of Nicky Butt's that took the pie??

It was so good I always look out for the referee clapping. :D :D

He'd get a mighty bollocking for that now.

In Burnden Terrace for that. Used to do home and away at the time. Someone mentioned Ginger with the camoflage jacket on an earlier thread. Does he still go?

Ginger, Ginger give us a song. Ginger give us a song.

Usually it was going to be:

Give us a BeE

And the resonse would be BeE

OoO

I'm not going through it all!

Or,

Ev'rywhere we go-o

Great songs for getting crowds going. Do they still do such thing in East Lower?

A slip of a lad, when that goal was scored, 25, the BP went berzerk, he scored a dead similar goal away to QPR, but no cams on the day to record it.

Sat on the railings in the Paddock just near to where he slid on his knees.

Had that clip on my pc for years and still never tire of it.

Is this the greatest ever goal scored by a Bolton player?

not even a twinkle in me mams eye!

Paddock Seats for me.
