🤦‍♂️

Perhaps our brand should have been, do the simple things, but do them well.

I'll post this now he is still with us and hopefully on the mend. This happened on the row behind us. He just keeled over and appeared to be unconscious - The incident started just as the teams came out. Luckily there were a couple of medical professionals in the crowd who administered CPR & mouth to mouth before word finally got through to the paramedics who arrived arrived with a defib pack.

Excellent work from the fans and staff but I can't help think there's easier ways not to sit through evatt-ball

Maybe he saw the team sheet and thought "fuckin' 'ell-something different" and the shock was a bit too much.

Anyway, joking apart, hope he makes a speedy recovery; be nice to get a visit from a player or two.

Argument with Evatt and Taylor

Seems something and nowt, but again, Evatt should just walk away.

Too regular an occurrence.

People have cottoned on haven’t they, that he has a short fuse and is easy to wind up.

Looks like that Taylor is having a smirk as he shakes hands and Evatt can’t help himself giving something back.

He then restrains himself and walks away while he’s probably fuming inside!

Wherever Evatt goes next he has to get better with his post match antics

It was Lloyd Jones but, yeah, he was definitely looking to get a rise out of him

A bit sad that players also behave in such a way: they should just have celebrated their victory. It's not as if he gained an advantage by winding Evatt up.

From Evatt’s perspective, if he can't avoid responding, then don't go on the pitch and interact.

He may feel it is the gentlemanly thing to do, but he doesn't behave like one too often.

Felt a bit for Evatt tonight. 3 points and it would have been green shoots. But when your luck isn't in........!

Whilst that defeat was unlucky, I'm not having "when your luck's in"....how about an offside goal and OG on Saturday.  3 teams inexplicably having players sent off against us with loads of time remaining undoubtedly giving us extra points; two 96th minute winners here, and that flukey win at Exeter with Morley's cross going in.  Charlton didn't deserve to beat us last night but that's the first obvious unlucky result we've had compared to so many points gained that flattered us.

I was talking about last night

Teams having players sent off is arguably caused by us causing them problems.

Bit like Matete and his snide "challenge" last night and us struggling at the time.

Oh definitely. We've benefitted from the luck with far more points gained than lost this season.

Anyway, it's a good thing as we're so close to the play offs because of all those flukey wins, so it does give the next manager a real chance. Looking forward to the rest of the season now

Whenever we win, we’re lucky.

Whenever we lose, the others are always better.

Youve seen a lot more than me, but id say we are about where we deserve to be re number of points

OK apologies, I thought you meant we'd been a bit unlucky generally.

Agreed we were unlucky to lose last night, maybe if luck had been more even previously we would have had a new manager by now!

On another note I feel absolutely certain that with new manager boost and the change in mood, we would have beaten the dross that was Cambridge and Charlton.  Frustrating, we should have had another 5 points now and a manager bedded in during the transfer window.

That's your opinion, I'd say we fully deserved to beat Reading, Crawley, Northampton, Stevenage,  Peterboro and Burton.  Maybe Orient (but thank you keeper).  Blackpool and Exeter were exciting finishes but overall draws would have been fair IMO.  Deserved to beat Lincoln clearly.  Hard to judge v 10 man Mansfield.

Of our 10 defeats, clearly deserved to lose 8 of them.  A bit unlucky at Mansfield, definitely unlucky not to at least draw last night.

Overall, points total slightly flatters us IMO.

I'll respectfully disagree, just looked like opposition being knobs to me!

You've reminded me of the Lincoln one, didn't Lolos commit an offence that if seen would have seen him sent off?  Right on H-T.  Opposition player loses his head complaining about it.  On another day its us down to 10 men and its Lincoln that have "caused us problems" to get us down to 10 men.  Huge luck that one IMO, and the Mansfield one was equally stupid, its not like they were pulling back one of our players bursting through the middle threatening the goal, its on the halfway line on the touchline!

Anyway, that's the past, onwards and upwards, bring it on.

Argument with Evatt and Taylor

I heard about this on the night but I didn't mention it. All things considered IE did well to walk away from Taylor whos only thought was to have Evatt punch him on live telly.

I also heard that in typical Whites fashion the same people who wanted IE out of our club were prepared to step in on his behalf and knock Taylor out.

No problem 😊

Sadly I think the damage had already been done in previous games. But I'm still surprised Sharon et al decided to swing the axe after that performance. Given how supportive they've been when we've played much worse.

Mind you - maybe they had one eye on Saturday and a potential Dion hat trick. At least this way he's managed to leave on the back of a decent performance (if not result).

Getting beaten after playing well, together with arguing with opponents again.

When that's happening, then there is little hope of a turn around.

Fans' (or lack of) concerns were clearly also having a major impact.

May be an image of text that says "TheFA The FA FOR ALL Regulation and Discipline update: Jay Matete has been suspended for three matches following an incident in the EFL League One match between Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, 21 January. The midfielder's behaviour around the 91st minute wasn't seen by the match officials at the time, but it was caught camera, and The FA alleged that it constitutes violent conduct. Jay Matete subsequently admitted to this charge against him and accepted the automatic three-match penalty."

Don't think I've agreed so much with one of our own players getting banned.

That was well out of order
