  • I know he's a bit of plonker but as a fellow man, I can't not feel sorry for the bloke. His head will be up his arse.  I hope it comes to an end soon and he can fuck off on holiday somewhere

What shithousery did they show? They scored off a cross and got a lucky deflected goal. Their bench isn't better than ours. They are shit. That's why they are below us. They got lucky.

only a point now and with a game in hand.

I still reckon we'll stay up though ...

Yes but they were physically bigger and stronger and it showed.

Managed to take 6 points off us this season 👍

Last 10 minutes we couldn’t get out of our own half they won everything, yeah they were shit but they knew how to see a game out

Be just like us to go there and fluke a win.

Thought we played well in spells in the 2nd half with Morley and Sheehan working well making us tick and much better from Randall, but there’s always that doubt at the back. Time and time again woeful brain dead defending.

Can we end the season now. Can’t stomach more of this.

I've been miserable all day during the run up and I will be miserable again tomorrow.

Full marks to those who are going... you have my total respect

We won't get a better chance to turn things round and get a win all season.

Like said previously, they clearly didn't read the manual.

They let us play, didn't press at all and allowed us all the freedom in the world to do what we do best.

Trouble is we only scored 1 by the time they sorted their shit out with 3 subs.

Anyone with even 10% more press or tenacity eats that new midfield set up alive and Collins isn't winning fuck all against a better defence.

Fair play Ian, you tried tonight, but when your chips are down, your chips are down.

Huddersfield will beat us 5-0.

Odd thing about our defensive weakness is that Evatt himself was a centre back.

Reason were so poor is the same reason we haven't gone up the last two seasons. We're so small and lightweight for this league it's obvious to every opposition manager and the fans, just not the manager

Not sure you can blame him for that tonight mate tbf

Crainey and Atherton were defenders too

Played best we have for a while, typical to lose to a deflection, defenders appalling for their 1st.

Bring the attacker in, get Toal back and bring another centre back in (with Santos obvsiously) and we might start to get somewhere.

Can't really moan about substitutions, he'd have got the usual complaints if he'd done his usual at 70 mins so he can't win there.

fuck off

Improved performance in general. Passed it a lot quicker and found space.

... but defending like that just isn't acceptable and that's why we've lost tonight.

When it's such repetitive failures defensively, the blame really has to fall on the manager. We're not talking the odd individual errors, it's a consistent failure to be prepared and organised defensively.

Not individual incidents, but the week in week out errors at the back - something isn’t right with the defence.

The performance today was better. Probably the best we've played for a while. But they give soft goals away. Another cross, easy goal. If they can't do the basics defensively it don't matter what formation we play.

People are saying this was like Barnsley. It wasn't. They are fucking shit. They scored off a cross and got a lucky deflected goal. They played the exact same way after the subs as they did before.

It was a fair bit better than Sat, albeit a low bar and Charlton were worse than Cambridge. They let us play some nice football and gave us the ball that often we enjoyed some good breaks. Goal was really good. Some decent performances, certainly Randall showed what he can do and grafted harder than I expected.

We'd actually defended reasonably well till their subs but struggled for the rest of the night after that, all they had to do was get into good crossing areas, whizz it in then scrap for loose balls

We didn't deserve to lose the game though, poor defending again to allow the shot but it was going straight at Southwood for a routine save. Ultimately, we're where we were after 89 mins on Saturday, burgled a point then with a big slice of luck, tossed one away tonight with another big slice of luck
