Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy

Interesting on the post match interviews that they are bigging this game up.

An opportunity for the squad to excel again.

A winning draw on penalties - could be the most irrelevant penalty shoot-out ever 😂

What a game, missed pen, 8 goals, hit post, hit bar, missed chances for both teams.  What a great way to spend a Tuesday night and all for £10 ! home for 9-30, a bacon sarnie and a brew watching the

  • Shame about conceding a couple, but this has been a great run-out for our second string. This is easily the strongest squad we've had since Football Ventures took over, and the youth system is bearing

Calm down Tiger! Being called a cunt is close getting big kiss and a reacharound on here!!!😁

Considering the minute's silence and act of remembrance on Sat was observed impeccably, save for the one Vale nobhead called out by his own, I suspect if our fans had known what was required on Tuesday they'd have complied.

Watching the preliminaries on the box, from around 10 mins before kick off, I saw no obvious attempt to organise players, officials etc into place, just the usual warm up, toss of a coin, huddle then kick off. TV commentator didn't seem to know anything was afoot either

I can hear the cries of @Marc505 from here

Probably the best it could have been, really. Wanted to avoid Blackpool and Stockport, and I’m not sure playing Barnsley for the 324th time in 4 seasons was worth the bants

Away to Harrogate next round, beat them, away to Salford, then away to Colchester.

Meanwhile in the FA Cup, beat Swindon, draw Leicester away and beat them in ET, draw Everton away and cause a giant killing that has everyone talking about 1994, then go to Spurs and lose heroically.

Chuck in Luton and Cardiff away, and I'd call that a pretty decent season's work on the 92.

Just felt it gave things a bit more plausibility, made it all a bit more real

Mid 70s I think, I'll check the website I use. Losing Spurs, Brentford and Everton in recent years has not helped!

Spurs is like Old Trafford in that I've been a few times but never for the footy.

I know someone who's been to some of the NFL games there and it looks like an incredible venue

It is, definitely has a wow factor.

It was also my first experience of those fill from the bottom pint pots. It appeared to be many others 1st time too given the number of blokes who's curiosity got the better of them and they poked the bottom of the cup and got covered in their beer.

I had one in the hotel after the game last week, sat down, drank it, when I finished saw the bottom drips all over you so you look like you've pissed yourself

First encountered those at epsom racecourse in 2019

Was unfortunate with one of them cups in NSL earlier this season, didnt even notice it was leaking out of the bottom at a fair rate for a while!

Vile! They're totally different buildings! 😂

By some mad people's rules, when City finish this new stand they'll have to revisit it because its had major renovations done and they therefore lose the tick. Im not at that level, but I cant count grounds that clubs have moved out of!

Aye

The 92 change every year as well by two clubs too

There should be no reason you have to visit a new ground if you've been to an old one

Otherwise the "92" is a game that's only open to virgins and gimps who go watching teams that aren't there own

And that's not an achievement

:D

Well I'm having Wimbledon even though I've only ever seen them at Selhurst Park.

So that's two for me.

Fuck the system.
