Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy

Interesting on the post match interviews that they are bigging this game up.

An opportunity for the squad to excel again.

A winning draw on penalties - could be the most irrelevant penalty shoot-out ever 😂

What a game, missed pen, 8 goals, hit post, hit bar, missed chances for both teams.  What a great way to spend a Tuesday night and all for £10 ! home for 9-30, a bacon sarnie and a brew watching the

  • Shame about conceding a couple, but this has been a great run-out for our second string. This is easily the strongest squad we've had since Football Ventures took over, and the youth system is bearing

GET IN

Remember that video that went viral a few months ago where the crowd cheered ages after it had gone in? I think we’ve just claimed the title 😂

Just going off comments and the feed, it seems Desmond has had a reasonably decent half.

Been involved, and effective.

I just hope for more from these players. Maybe Tutu, Broome, McAtee and Forrester are doing ok but this is an opportunity many aren’t taking yet.

It is what it is today game time for some and avoid injurys

Tutu best player on the pitch.

Aye, it's not going to be easy for them to be all orgasmic about the game- fans aren't.

Just be professional, and do what is required.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Dempsey come off fairly soon, and I'd quite like to see Warren have a go. He looked decent pre season, and is back fit after an injury.

Agree on those four add Dempsey and i think those five have been ok......Broome looks more composed than Miller

Tutu is the only player who can beat a man

The rest have been workman like and are not pushing for a first team start

Tutu's had their RB on toast, good half, deserved his goal.

Broome's done ok, dealt with what he's had to do and passed it out well. Hogan also, no fuss, steady half for him.

Broome looks good commands his area well

@Big Ejust said Tutu is trying too hard :)

Nowhere near our best, but could be 3 or 4 up.

Hopefully a couple of quick goals to put it to bed, then we can give some of the kids a run out.

Its like they've televised a training session.

Just having an 11 a side game within the squad in the stadium would have more impact, they'd be playing against fellow L1 players not the reserves of a bottom half L2 team.  That's not SSs fault, he has to play the game, yes he can use it to "give minutes" to players but he could do that in a behind closed doors friendly.

Poor stuff that really when you think some of these are pushing for starting places. Like to see a good few changes at half time with Warren andcCissoko on to liven it up a bit.

JM scores after Dalby failed to pick out Tutu, nice finish.

Lovely finish McAtee

Great strikie

May be take Dempsey off shortly this pitch could turn for the worse

Very well taken by McAtee, good finish

Taylor and Tutu fancy themselves down the left this half

There's no way we end up with only 2 here

Good Goal that
