Just before we get too excited, there are definitely a few Bradford players out there who look like they have no intention of putting full effort in for the last 20 mins of a glorified training game in which they’re 3-0 down. It’s very easy to look good right now (without sounding too negative).

True

But at the end of the day a Bolton team that made 9 changes has utterly outplayed and outclassed a Bradford team that made 5 changes.

If nothing else it shows that the quality we have runs deep in this squad.

Shame we didn’t batter these twats a couple weeks back. A good number of this lot started that game

I know Bradford have downed tools but some of the football the last 15 minutes has been brilliant.

Dalby missed a great header chance and another on his left since his assist.

TBF Cissoko should have scored and Burstow should have laid it back to Cissoko so we might have had a hatful of goals if we were a bit more clinical.

Erahon is a Rolls Royce.

And if we are being balanced, so has Sheehan since he’s come on - Bradford commentators are waxing lyrical over him

Do you reckon he would keep essentially this team if they continued to go further in the competition?

Not including ACD, Toal etc, and having "first teamers" on the bench.

Sometimes these games do resemble stiffs games, but generally not this season.

I wonder if they have been told that as long as we progress, they are the ones to keep the shirt.

Still think it’s misleading just based on the occasion (lack of fans) and effort from those players.

I don’t think that players start half-arsed, but you only need to look at the amount of 3, 4, 5 and 6s being scored tonight in the competition which tells you all you need to know about players’ desire to put full effort in when they go behind.

We’ve played really well, and shouldn’t take away from that, but these lot have played at about 70% since the 3rd went in - hence it could easily have been 7 or 8 if we took some of the ridiculous amount of chances.

Rotherham scored 7 (seven) at Salford

I think he would.

He’s been pretty consistent (especially when games are stacked) in making sweeping changes from the league side.

But the good thing is, the first 11 keeps rotating so it won’t necessarily always be the same EFL trophy team

This is the diffrence when do not give them 5000 tickets 😤🤫🤔😔😂👍😇

Could of been 5 or 6 really. Just another example of the squad that we have for this level is strong. Which is gonna stand us in good stead from now until February.

Taylor should never play left back again.........Centre half all day long

Erhahon and Simons are class.......Cissoko a enigma

Good all round onwards and upwards

Thoroughly enjoyable game, quality goals and we broke them.

Wonder if someone will put that to SS at interview 😀

It is good to have options though.

Never say never, but you’re right, Taylor looked far more assured as left centre. But we have loads of decent Centre backs - including Forrester who was immense tonight.

Never again? 😂

I’m not sure a 15 min cameo at CB against a team who’d downed tools, is enough to make that judgement!

He linked up well Cissoko at LB (as he has done a few times this season)

Spot on.

Comments on how players have played well in that game are valid. As are comments about the depth of our squad.

Sweeping statements about players (positive or negative) are misplaced in my opinion, because of the nature of the game.

I think it’s ridiculous if we were to surmise that Erhahon must start against Mansfield & Taylor must play CB from now on.
