Meanwhile in Iran

Just a recommendation which I've mentioned before

Watch Bitter Lake by Adam Curtis

It's the closest explanation I've seen to our relatively modern fucked up world

Unlike Trump to ask nicely. What's going on?

He fucking well should have been.

He was given the intelligence, and chose to do nothing.

Maybe he wasn't advised particularly well, I don't know- that does seem to happen a lot, but as PM he had enough information to know what a threat Iran was, and what its M.O. would be.

Even military commentators were warning of what their retaliatory action would be.

Ships reportedly being delayed as folk involved in preparation can't work overtime/night hours, or some such.

If that is true, then he and the relevant authorities should have been making calls and giving others absolute hell.

A shit show, and reflects Starmer's overall attitude towards our military.

Please tell me how a PM, any PM including fucking Farage if he gets in next time, gets a warship out of maintenance and in the eastern Mediterranean before Netanyahu decides to bomb Iran?

How the fuck is that not on the Royal Navy and somehow the fault of the PM?

You are talking bollocks just because it is Starmer.

In order to escort freight through the straights, many naval vessels are required.

A likely contribution from several countries.

Exactly what has gone on for years in and around the red sea, and Indian ocean.

Houtis, Somalis etc with their piracy actions.

It's called leadership.

Who carries the can if our football team doesnt succeed- the man in charge of course.

Starmer repeatedly called for other PMs to take responsibility for all manner of things, and also resign.

He had the information weeks ago and failed to act.

He has failed to act in terms of military funding, and has turned a deaf ear to repeated requests for urgent funding from all quarters within the military.

However he is happy to hunt down former soldiers who served the nation.

His name is mud around military circles.

You are clearly poorly informed, or indifferent to the severity of the situation.

Folk like you wanted Boris gone for getting a fine for eating a cake in the wrong room, yet Starmer isn't to blame for anything, no matter how serious.

Its not his fault that Mandelson was appointed, that so many of his ministers have gone, and that he has such a low approval rating neither.

Any prime minister with this lack of regard would get my criticism.

Unlike you who would seemingly support him come what may.

This is the most ludicrous post I have read in a long time on here.

Weeks ago about Iran is not true, sure we knew about the build up of forces but not if it would amount to an attack. Even so, if we knew you actually think he ignored this and thought, ah fuck it we just keep a warship in maintenance? Really?

Boris for eating cake is the most disingenuous claim of people who know they have been caught out. He drove a cart and horses through parliamentary standards and that's the best you can come up with?

Mandelson he should be getting stick for I agree but unsurprisingly all the right wing papers and the likes of Gove were all for his appointment because he is and always was a wrong un.

I don't support Starmer unreservedly because he frankly seems to get more wrong than right and isn't a very good PM. But he is by far the better of a bad bunch at the moment, which isn't an endorsement by any means. It does show how wank our politics is at the moment though.

I agreed with you earlier about some blame going on the military, you’re 100% right on that but to suggest a country’s leader gets a free ride on this is ridiculous. A leader will always get some blame and he will also get the plaudits if a conflict goes well.

It's like blaming the current spurs manager for them being shit now.

In a whole library of shite posted by your good self over the years, that’s right up there.

Nope. A military success is the result of the military.

Politics tries to assume a win or a blame but the reality is neither.

For someone of service I find your attitude very naive.

The MOD is without a doubt the culprit here but with the caveat that they have been dealing with chaos for several years.

And a military failure/fuck up is down the military I guess? If so can you Please  pick up on the 100s of posts on here that have been calling Netanyahu and Trump war criminals, kiddy killers etc. 👍

So is it just a success that’s the result of the military? Failure is down to…… well You’ve said it’s not the leader and it’s not the military so It’s anyone’s guess.

So explain what you mean then, you’ve clearly said a military success is down to the military, how have I misunderstood that?

Trump is in deep shit

Why are military aircraft shown on this app? Is it not a bit of a giveaway?

If they didnt want them to show up on a publicly available app they wouldn't appear, its strange and I think its probably to do with telegraphing to an enemy that "something" is going to happen.

Interesting that loads more appeared after the mid air collision, as if to make them more visible to eachother even though they should surely have that kind of awareness anyway.

Anyhow, 3 F-15's downed (in my view by what can only be by a rogue Kuwaiti pilot?!), a tanker crashed and at least 5 damaged on the ground. This aint Desert Shield, that's for sure.

I'm still of the opinion that they went into this simply because they got drunk on their own power and basically because they like being able to command other people to blow shit up on their behalf.

I cannot believe the official social media pages for the White House are putting out AI cartoons of blowing people up. Its North Korea tackle, they used to take the piss out of this kind of drivel.

Have you 100% destroyed someone's military capability if they can send a drone or two, drop a mine or a fire a missile?

Anyway.

They don't need people to join wars they've already won.

That statement has to go down as his most demented yet.

”we’ve cut their heads off but they’re still dangerous”.

“Hopefully…”

These are not the words of someone who’s won a war or has any idea what happens next.

It’s almost embarrassing to point these things out to his fanboys but yet it still needs to be done. Imagine the mental gymnastics required to flip this statement into one you can genuinely support.

It’d be hilarious if it wasn’t about to cost us all real actual money.

He doesn’t have a fucking clue what he’s talking about from one day to the next. Rabbit in the headlights.

What an absolute mess he’s created.

And to think there’s folk on here who thought he’d done what no previous US president had done & that Starmer should be joining the shit show.

We’re well overdue a US government who stands up to the extremist settler government . World will be a better place for it.

Didn’t the massive cunt say recently they didn’t need help from anybody?

Starmer should sort his own shit out.
