Meanwhile in Iran

No tags, links or clips by myself

Just a recommendation which I've mentioned before

Watch Bitter Lake by Adam Curtis

It's the closest explanation I've seen to our relatively modern fucked up world

I was reading that the Islamic Guards have hundreds of small boats squirrelled away along the shoreline, many individually owned independent of the state... going to be a bastard job to stop them

indeed, I guess it's stepping into guerrilla warfare territory

This war was won last week.

The big dog said so.

Nothing to see here chaps.

I'm still of the opinion that they went into this simply because they got drunk on their own power and basically because they like being able to command other people to blow shit up on their behalf.

I cannot believe the official social media pages for the White House are putting out AI cartoons of blowing people up. Its North Korea tackle, they used to take the piss out of this kind of drivel.

I agree with you on the rhetoric and phraseology of the Trump clique.

Nevertheless, sooner or later, someone was going to have to take Iran down.

The could not be allowed to continue their missile development and terrorism expansion.

That apart from whatever nuclear ambitions they had.

Then there are its people.

When thousands there protest and are murdered, and exiles celebrate wholeheartedly, then it suggests that there is plenty to be positive about.

How long all this lasts is clearly unknown, but the attrition rate on the Iranian stockpiles is large, particularly on missiles.

Drones maybe lower, but again the numbers being used has fallen significantly.

Biggest issue is to break and degrade the IRGC now, and empowering internal change.

That is the elephant in the room.

Fairly sure that you would have done the research and decided not to risk your reputation by installing him in your post (or any post for that matter).

Only a fool would do otherwise.

Due diligence and all that. He's never have made the cut! 😁

And miss out on your increasingly amusing brain farts?

No chance. Your mental descent is far too entertaining 😁

I agree, at some point their ambitions would need to be curbed. Just as the megalomaniac ambitions of other rogue actors with acces to nukes would probably need to be curbed at some point - such as for example North Korea, or the guy currently lurking in the White Hou... Mar a Lago. Why right now though? We dont really believe this was triggered by Iranians being murdered in the streets, do we?

Did it need to happen now though, via a clearly undercooked (at best) strategy, and at the cost of blowing up alliances and destabilising the world economy?

Did it need to happen now, after we were told last year's surgical strikes completely obliterated their capability?

Did it need to happen now, when it seems fairly clear that multiple levels of the Iranian regime were compromised and infiltrated by Mossad agents who appear to be able to affect their operations and/or direct military action onto them at will?

Degrading their capability is all well and good, how long and how effectively that can go on for when it's just an air campaign though who knows. I am assuming the Israel would like to get into a situation where they can just periodically bomb Iran as and when they see fit with little to no opposition, as with some of their other neighbours.

I have serious doubts over whether this action, done in this way, and now, has made the world any safer though.

He'll regret starting this skirmish, especially as pretty much everybody else has distanced themselves from it. You can't really spend the best part of a year trying to fuck people/countries over, and then expect them to help you when you find yourself in a bit of a sticky spot.

It could be this war that does for him, rather than the fact that he likes to fuck kids, who'd have thought it.

Joe Kent said that Iran posed "no imminent threat" to the US and claimed that the Trump administration "started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby".

He's clearly just a conspiracy theorist

He never rated him anyway, so he says.

Despite appointing him.

And gushing about him after making that appointment.

Every empire falls eventually.

Is he a low IQ individual by any chance?

Infantile.
