Meanwhile in Iran

No tags, links or clips by myself

Just a recommendation which I've mentioned before

Watch Bitter Lake by Adam Curtis

It's the closest explanation I've seen to our relatively modern fucked up world

Obviously when she say lefties she means the ones who demonstrate

😂😂😂

Ahhh yeah of course she meant protesters… even though she said ‘the left’ and not those protesting.

 Nice try lad

Again - the rest of your post is one big generalisation.

There will be some pro Palestine folk who are no doubt supportive of Iran. And there will be many who aren’t

Trying to claim the whole movement is anti a free Iran is just ridiculous.

I never said that though. 😆 you really do struggle reading don’t you .

Just referring to the word m0ng mate. Which I know you love to use.

I know you just meant those protesting immediately after Oct 7th.

Good to hear you don’t hate everyone who went on a pro Palestine march though 😄

Well yes the left who she would see, you know the ones who demonstrate, she wouldn't see the left like you would she. I’ve already told you to stop trying to be smart 👍

I'm not sure if you're just naive, simple or both.

They were all idiots

stupid decision

I'm just a woke snowflake and I'm a bit scared to use the word m0ng 😂

can we go with idiots ?

She wasn't specific at all.

If she meant protesters, then she should have gone ahead and said. Instead she said 'the left are silent'. Which was one big generalisation.

Finally, would have been easier to say that in the first place wouldn’t it.

Oh great, another LW & RW tête a tête over some bollocks.

It would a the left she sees. Stop being silly,

I did. I said they were poorly timed and disrespectful.

I apologise for not comparing them to a severely disabled person.

I'll make sure I do that straight away next time to save on the the back and forth

Haha

You've stopped making any sense.

Lets call it a truce before we bore everyone to death. At least we agreed on one thing.

Nope, you said to some extent. So what’s the extent?

That I went for poorly timed and disrespectful over agreeing with you on the label m0ng.

Have you not been reading any of the last few posts?

Let's not do this again eh. You're a big boy, I'm sure you can let it go x

“Everyone  has the right to a peaceful protest”

”They just want their own state”

They reckon there might be as many as 3000 killed today in Iran.

The lady had a point 😉

Aww he's going to love this little back up.

The fella who thought 150,000 people was millions and had no idea about the march organisers thinks I'm being shown up 😂

I wasn't the only one who disagreed with the lady's point mate.

Interesting that you conveniently ignored the questions in my last post to you.

Don't worry, I'm happy to wait x

I don’t think anyone on here would disagree with that Tweet.

Been a while since I agreed with a GBeebies broadcaster 😄

Interestingly, the Iranian resistance protests last week were demanding our government proscribe the regime a terrorist organisation.

Maybe there is more to be done after all

Has to be done as the muppets holding those regime flags could then be arrested.

Your Iranian friend will struggle with it all though, because there were some lefties on that protest as well 😄

Who do?

I'm not saying you're wrong but I'm not seeing that widely reported.

I thought about 3,000 were estimated to have been killed in the protests so far?

Which is horrific. As I've said all along.

3000 so far? Many estimates are at 30-40k some at 50k

Just AI'd it.

Iranian regime claim 3,117

HRANA have got it at 6,126 as of 27th January. These are verified only though. So the real figure is likely to be higher.

It's telling me that the worst case estimates are from medical professionals on the ground who are putting it at about 30,000 (which admittedly would be a lot higher than I had any comprehension of). These are estimates based on the feelings on the ground.

But we know from Gaza that you don't trust a) the regimes themselves b) international humanitarians or c) medical professionals on the ground - so we can't really take any of those claims seriously can we 😉

By way of balance - the predicted death toll in Gaza was somewhere between 3.3% and 3.8% of the total population.

If we take the Iranian medics 30,000+ claim. That would be around 0.04% of Iran's population. To match the carnage in Gaza you'd be talking about 3.68 million dead Iranians.

So vile, horrific and disgusting as what is happening in Iran obviously is. The scale is still nowhere near what happened in Gaza.

Maybe that's why right now - what you perceived as 'the left' aren't AS up in arms about things yet. Does that make any sense?

Personally - I hope Donald Trump actually keeps his promise on this one and wipes the cunts out. I just don't want almost 4 million men, women and children killed in the process.

Although, I'm sure I remember you saying they were acceptable figures in Gaza - so maybe you'll think differently - and that those types of losses are reasonable to get rid of the regime?

A couple of Big differences here of course.

1) Palestine are practically in a war with Israel, the deaths (murders) in Iran are being carried out by their government.

2) the deaths in Iran have happened in less than 2 weeks, Palestine has been well over a year
