so I understand correctly

they arrive in England via dinghy or whatever

then get flown straight to Rwanda where they wait to be processed

if successful they get flown back to UK

if not, flown back to country of origin or stay in Rwanda?

Actually, it seems it'd just be that Rwanda is used as a country to send failsed asylum seekers to if their home country refuses to accept their return

So presumably processed here, or maybe in northern France as there are plans to build a detention centre there, and then sent to Rwanda once failed

I'm not sure of the legalities of this new plan but the previous Rwanda scheme failed because the idea was to settle successful asylum seekers there rather than here, which was never going to fly

In the end it did succeed through the legal mine field though.

For some stupid reason, the daft cunt called an election before we'd sent anyone.

Well, actually, the reason was clear- Sunak didn't actually want to do it when push came to shove.

The gutless spanner.

Yeah you might be right, I think they legislated to declare Rwanda a safe country to get round the legal judgement

Aye, summert like that.

Then again, pulling out of (or ignoring) the ECHR is probably a quicker way of doing things.

Comes back down to political will in the end.

Tories didn't really want to do it, and neither does this current government.

The ECHR is there to protect all of us so be careful of what you wish for.

I have a feeling you have fallen for the snake oil that the likes of Farage peddles.

Only a plank and Rwanda thought it a good deal

Would you agree that we need to find another country to send them too?

Changing your mind is a sign of weakness

Tice's comments recently were clearly daft, but one little bit seemed to get a bit lost in the furore.

Something along the lines of managing the situation.

A subtle change from complete denial, but still way off beam.

I can accept changes to the way we approach the required global warming reduction etc, but the the pretence that human influence on it, is overblown, is pathetic.
