A bloke sent a number of photos from a Green event, this was one of those photos and Zac shared the photos. It was all on social media

The photographer has apologised for sending the picture and contacted the Police to confirm this is what happened.

Reading the amount of crap posted ‘by mistake’ by Reform councillors that have been dismissed by the leadership of Reform it is a bit stupid.

A new version of the shirt with the text changed to ‘Nigel’s so vain I bet he thinks this is about him’ has appeared. I am sure more will follow

Polanski has basically just committed political suicide on Newsnight.

He must have known they would ask him to apologise. He did not because it was a mistake rather than a misjudgement.

Bolton’s finest Victoria D managed to portray bewilderment boarding on contempt without saying very much.

Nobody who gives a fuck about this was ever going to vote Green. Much like nobody who was outraged over the Reform Deputy Council Leader sharing a post saying Labour MP Natalie Fleet should be shot was ever going to vote Reform.

But it does , The Greens benefitted from a weak Labour Govt by being a realistic alternative. Polanski was part of that by being a bit edgy and different. He just looked like a lost kid tonight. He must have thought what they would ask before and could have held his hands up which in a way he did. Even a prepared statement that he apologises for the mistake of posting a message he did not agree with.

I am not talking about Reform voters suddenly going Green or Vica versa but his support within his party - no one was prepared to speak up for him and with Labours popularity growing he is sinking very quickly. And tonight IMO will have accelerated that process.

Even when they read out the response from Reform which he could used well he just seemed to be sulking.

Nevertheless, as of last year (around April) there were thirty arrests daily, for tweets.

Politicians, largely, seem to get away with them, whilst others don't.

I'd give it a vanishingly small possibility that ZP sat there individually looking at each picture and what was written on each person's t-shirt before he shared this on. It's not even particularly obvious on the image I've seen.

That said. The easiest thing to do would have been to have look directly down the camera on Newsnight (which I haven't seen) and apologise directly to NF - which might have taken the sting out of everything. Doubling down (if that's what he's done) is a daft move.

I saw one high ranking Reform politician claim that this was an 'incitement to commit murder'. Absolute batshit that doesn't do anybody any favours.

And I say this as a fan of neither ZP or NF.

I think the point ZP was trying to make was that by making a mountain out of a molehill and saying he was inciting people to kill NF Reform we’re putting his life in danger as he had received death threats.

But when he tried that he ended up saying he would not apologise until NF apologised for things he had said in the past, real school ground type antics. Then VD kept asking him to apologise or explain why he would nt and the hole got deeper.

It is a massive over reaction from Reform but they 5 million reasons they want to distract from other issues.
