RIP. More of a legend at Bolton Wanderers than most players ever became!

any confirmation?

if it is true and the news does not appear on the official site by the end of the day, AHEAD of 'coldplay play the reebok' and 'earn teamcard points on mothers day' then there is something sadly wrong on bolton wanderers football club.

as they wouldn't make any money from the announcement, I doubt they will mention it.

or am I being to cynical?

RIP.

Sad news. A true gent.

Ding Dong Dead

....Oh, it is true - ben ont radio.

RIP

A very sad day for BWFC and all who knew him.

Goodbye dear friend.

a very sad loss - he will be greatly missed.

Hope they have a big send-off for him - as big a hero in the town as Fred Dibnah in my eyes.

"Great interception!"

"Zico Kelly, Zico, Zico, Tony Kelly, what a great goal"

Then when he dangled the mike down to the rioting Bolton fans at Darlington.

"Listen to the Bolton fans in full voice!!!"

(All of these are off the cuff and probably inaccurate!)

Remember at Ipswich away a few years back - I almost hit him with a stool by accident when the boozer got smashed up just outside the ground.

I actually saw him at Palace away a few weeks ago, as usual he was smiling and saying "hello" to everybody who acknowledged him. He really was a genuinely nice man and as loyal as they come.

"Jules as they call him at Burnden Park, and what a jewel of a goal that was!" - (taken from a 1:0 win at PNE around 1990-92ish)

sad sad day, there are not enough characters about and thats another gone.

  its a sad day for bolton football club he was a legend.

RIP

RIP DAVE

Dave will be sadly missed by all Wanderers supporters. I was with him at Newcastle on Sunday and he was his usual bright and cheery self. There will never be another Dave Higson.

I saw a few Bolton vids in the past, off mates who had them, they told me about the guy doing the commentary and how funny he was, and yes he was indeed a legend!!!

Loved the police/pigs quote that I saw on tele once.

My thoughts go to his family.

R.I.P dave me old mate

RIP Dave

A legend and 101% BWFC

Let's hope a few people from the club attend his funeral.

Worked with him at aerospace for years.

Sadly missed - RIP Dave.

Remember the Liverpool away game video commentary when he had to do it from back of stand.Somebody stumbles in front of him and you can hear Ding Dong say"mind that wire cock"

First met Dave when I was a cub in 1977 and he was the leader.Heard him on Talksport a couple of weeks ago and he was in good voice.

You couldn't meet a nicer bloke or better fan.RIP

aye, RIP

be about right we win something this year now, and the owd bugger misses it

sad, very sad

ragging bad news - RIP.

Chatted to him on many occassions, usually in the boozer at some far flung away game eg Yeovil this year. Very sad loss :(

RIP DAVE HIGSON - UNSUNG HERO
