Bolton 1 Bristol Rovers 1, September 1988. Six years old. First away at Rotherham in '89. I think Rotherham won, couldn't say with any certainty though.

bolton 0 plymouth 0, 1976. very dull and restless for a 9yr old to have to sit through it in the burnden stand.never looked back though, worth every fookin penny since.

Bolton v Grimsby, 1972/3 season - 7yrs old - think it was 2-0 to us - couldn't believe how green the pitch was!!

glory hunter

i also jumped on the bandwagon that season

after my first two games - last two homes of the season - i thought we won 2 and 3-0 every week and got presented with cups regular

Sounds like you're an old bar steward as well casino!!!

All I can remember those days was the smell of the seeeegarr!!!

August 31 - Blackpool 3-0 - you'll have to guess the year I'm not admitting to it.

Clue for Biff - Stevens and Allcock (2) were the scorers

1979 I think, about 6 years old, St Mirren, Anglo Scots cup on a deserted Embankment. Think it was 1-1.

Burnden terrace had a few in making some noise

I might have seen Worthington that night :-k

That sounds to me like 1956. Hopkinson in goal because Lancashire Cricket Club wouldn't release Ken Grieves and Joe Dean was injured. Stan Matthews declined to play, he'd had gravel rash from Tommy Banks before.

Bloody whippersnappers!

Liverpool Home, league cup 29 Sept 1967, 7 year old on me dads shoulders in the Embankment. 3-2 with two from Gordon Taylor

My first proper league game was Bradford away 1996, 6 years old, we won 4-2 :D

went to a few reserves matches before that, but didnt go to a proper league game at burnden :-({|=

First game Bolton 3-2 Fulham 07-02-1987

First away game Sheff Utd 4-0 Bolton 04-02-1989

I remeber a chant of "We're so shit its unbelievable!" Then Phil Neal brought himself on ](*,)

Was that Peter Barnes' last game for Bolton? He got subbed, took his shirt off and threw it at Neal.

remember that well, i can still feel the doom and gloom surrounding the club then when i remember incidents like that how times have changed.

Remember both games vividly.

Think the Fulham game was when Trevor Morgan (remarkably) got us out of the shit.

At 2-1 89th minute Tomo ran from the halfway line to Felgate to waste time - in the days when you could pass back to the keeper.

He overhits his return pass and the Fulham player who'd chased back nipped in to score.

Saw the Roadrunner video after- Dave Higson "THATS WHAT YER GET FOR MESSIN ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!"

Morgan made it 3-2 in injury time with a cracking volley.

Happy days. :D
