Freddie Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Recieved this today in reply to my letter to him on Monday,"thanks for your letter and despite the situation regarding the O.M ticket allocation i can understand your frustration. The club has recieved an allocation of 2800 for the away leg in marseille. This is the allocation that O.M.always offer to opposition clubs for european games. We have been told by O.M.that they are unable to offer anymore tickets due to segregation issues ai Stade Velodrome.Officials from Bolton are now lobbying O.M.about ways of trying to increase the allocation,so we can try to satisfy every supporter who has applied. This may prove to be unfruitful, but we feel obliged to try and obtain additional tickets for supporters in a secure area of the stadium.I also want to make it clear that no tickets are given to our official travel partner to sell as part of a package. All tickets are made available to supporters who have applied through the appropriate channels. The procedure of offering tickets is a fair system and unfortunatly on some occasions, like this match,we have recieved more applications then tickets. It is frustrating that we are unable to offer tickets to every applicant, but unfortunatly it is beyond the clubs control.I do understand your frustrations and i hope this clarifies the position the club is facing in respect of this fixture Yours Sincerely,Daniel Reuben" Make of this what you will Comrades.
Horwich Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 does that not go against what mr moores said?
Carlos Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Tickets for those with Everton vouchers was a joke. I agree with the rest of it.

Did he type it all in one big paragraph like that? That's really poor, if he did.
wiggy Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 The one thing that really annoys me about this is the fact the club soon after the draw that we would only get 2,800 tickets. If they'd announced that sooner then I'm sure fewer non-season ticket holders would have wasted their hard earned money on travel and accomodation.

Ani Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 i think if i was in wiggys position i would want to moan about it more. if people do nt like it just dont read it.
YATESY Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Give Rueben credit for giving an answer that is honest and tells it as it is. BWFC probably couldn't give a definite position on tickets any earlier then they did, as they had to await info from O.M. As we know from Besiktas, our European opponents have been piss poor in being quick with the info for BWFC to act upon. The selection of the Everton game for priority has been critised by some on here but what else can the club do? They have a working memory of a fish and so could only think of using vouchers from the last few away games!! Surely the Besiktas vouchers would have at least rewarded the loyal UEFA fans first! With 2,800 tickets they had to pick a game that would still leave tickets over for others to apply for. I am surprised that all those WW posts that have no tickets were daft enough to wait for open sale. We have begged, borrowed and nearly stole Season Ticket numbers to make sure our application would be successful. I see that Widnes has used his Exec Box contacts again. Surely the likes of Wiggy could have done the same?!!
Bigtoe Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Keep your hair on wiggy! See what i did there?
Traf Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 i reckon wiggy is my other sign on name I reckon if it's an alias, it's either CWP or Luton.
