I looked like Dick Emery at the best of times in them, but negotiating that staircase and not going arse over tit after a bacardi or 2 was nigh on impossible. I now think on and wear a flat shoe! It was called the Lower Nags Head previous to that. But yes, twas also a grotty little hell hole that was "downstairs" except their house special wasn't Tizer! WTF was in that shite?
