wayne cramp Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 WENT THROUGH TOWN THIS MORNING, AND THE PLACE THAT HAS BEEN CLOSED DOWN FOR AGES FACING WHERE YOU USED TO GO INTO CENTRAL PARK - WELL DID IT USED TO BE CALLED ZOO AT SOME STAGE , PROBABLY ABOUT 14 - 15 YEARS AGO . ITS JUST ONE OF THEM THINGS THATS DOIN MY HEAD IN , HAD PLENTY A GOOD NIGHT IN THERE , SURE I REMEMBER THE PAGE 3 GIRLS DOING A MONTHLY SLOT ON A THURSDAY NIGHT.

wovlad Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 you've annoyed me now.................. I know exactly where you mean, but I can't remember what it was called at all................was it called Razzamataz or something equally daft? It was called Pink Panthers for a while years ago and The Jungle before it became Zoo
Sweep Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 It was called Pink Panthers for a while years ago and The Jungle before it became Zoo I do remember it being called Pink Panthers...............not that I went in of course, as I was much too young
seasoned Traveller Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 The Jungle, wet T Shirt Comps on Thursday's and a quid a bottle, ram jam packed.
no balls Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Was it not called Club Europa at some point too? Twas, but after your time I'm sure. It had foam parties when it was called that I think. Foam parties? Why? You go out and spend a fortune on an outfit, get your hair done, make up on and then get covering in foam. I never got that. Then again, not many birds in Bolton probably ever spent a fortune on an outfit, got their hair done, or put make up on.
revdishydave Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 i've not been to a foam party for years!!!! they seemed a top idea when i was in college, until i tried chatting up a bloke with long hair i wouldnt mind going to one for nostalgia i am tragically still tied to the 90s
Burndens Bogs Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 (edited) Just before it closed wasn't it called Waltzin' Matildas or summat? Aussie themed restaurant/bar. Edited May 23, 2007 by Burndens Bogs

Andybwfc Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 THE FOOKIN JUNGLE - THATS THE FELLA , DONT THINK I WOULD OF GOT THAT. You and MW used to frequent the joint! I much prefered the Crown and Flick Knife! At least you actually stuck to the floor as you walked!
Nowack Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 THE FOOKIN JUNGLE - THATS THE FELLA , DONT THINK I WOULD OF GOT THAT. Did the bloke who run The Jungle not appear on Blind Date dressed and acting like a tit? Seem to remember a photo of him behind the bar.
Smiley Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Remember it being a 'classy' piano bar for a while as PP. Then it became part of the Indie scene with SPAM as dj. Remember bouncing around to the Senseless Things in there once or twice. And they sold "K" cider - a predecessor of alcopops. Think I went in the Jungle once or twice. You'll be mentioning the Dome next.
wayne cramp Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 THE DOME - U MEAN THE PLACE THAT WAS ON KNOWSLEY STREET FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS OR THE BLIGHTYS AS IT WAS ?
Sweep Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 What about the Dance Factory?!?! I never went myself, but it did look grim as fook from the outside
no balls Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 What about the Dance Factory?!?! I never went myself, but it did look grim as fook from the outside The 'teen' evenings there were much better than Kiddy Rockerfellas imho!
