was it the fact you

a) missed the game

B) got married

c) didn't get to wear the dress

Hull City

Hull City

yep, and me

Chalton last game at Burnden, had a ticket but youngest was ill.

At the time it was the 8-1 and 7-2 in the Tony Caldwell era. As our football status went from bad to worse, for years I thought I had missed the best days as a Bolton fan!!

In the 'modern era' has to be the two wins at OT, on overseas business trips on both games!!

During my lifetime, the 2-1 win against United in '78, Wrexham away and Arsenal away in the FA. Been the all the others.

I would like to have seen our match at the Kuntz Stadium in Indianapolis against the US under 23s in July 2000.

Apart from that it would be League Cup semi final 2nd leg against Swindon.

Vissel Kobe or Kawasaki Frontale - for painfully obvious reasons

Liverpool FA cup - Anfield, Jan 1993

Loco Plovdiv - Bourgas,Bulgaria - Sept 05

Apart from those two, i think i've attended most away games that i've wanted to.

More recently - Plovdiv. Went to Guimaraes and Marseille. Guimaraes was the best day of my life but reading what people have said, Plovdiv was even better. Wish I'd been

plovdiv was my regret.... wife was in hospital

also missed the extra time win at Goodison because of a snooker final (which I won but was so preoccupied about the match that I forgot to collect my trophy)

Leicester City away won 5-0, season returning to Prem. after Cardiff playoffs.

The game where Paul Comstive scored twice at Burnden .

Saved me typing those! I too was gutted - played footie instead with my mates. Went to games either side of Plymouth, in fact it was one of only a handful I missed that season. Living nearby to Burnden we were gutted kicking a ball against some wall whilst roar after roar went up into the Saturday afternoon sky.

The 2nd OT match when Nolan scored the only goal, was on holiday, and got totally bladdered, wish I'd been there, but we'd already won their the year before.

I missed Wrexham - was working.

Missed Seville at home - at Foo Fighters.

Missed the famous 2-2 draw at Turf Moor cos of holiday.

Pisa away - saving up to get married!

Jesus too many.

Liverpool FA Cup

Arsenal FA Cup

Wolves Battle of Burnden/Play-off.

Liverpool away Cup (lived in London at the time and it was me last day at work piss up); Hull (lived in Southampton at the time and knew I'd be travelling up for the Preston game); Wrexham (in London and skint).

All the above would have been tough for the reasons given, but I really regret not doing the old Den. I had the chance as we played there twice while I lived in London. Mind you, had I done done it I might have regretted it

regrets, regrets ....

Hull & Wrexham away - too far & expensive at the times, from the South.

Ascoli away - only 'European' game I've missed; pre-Christmas & out of cash.

Everton replay away - leaving for Oz that night, so Arsenal home in next round too. Got back just in time for Highbury replay.

Ah, but the great games we've all seen make the missed ones a bit more bearable ....

Loads of em. The downside of living in Australia

Arsenal away, FA Cup Replay (3-1) though it was really 4 as Kelly free kick was disalowed and the ref said afterwards he didn't know why he had done.

I was about 15/16 and my dad wouldn't pick me up from Burnden upon the return of the coach. So it was either sleep on the car park, or not go and watch on Sky.

Great game, but was gutted

You would understand how I felt then. I was in London. Had to board a flight to Chicago/Milwaukee a couple of hours before that game. Fooking torture.

Games I almost missed......

Coventry away, arrive 20 mins late due to joke of a train

Blackburn home, flew back from Iceland, drove Stansted to Reebok. Made it right on kick off. Then drove back down to Stansted and flew off to Prague.

I went to the FA cup giant killings at Liverpool and Arsenal etc. I went to Wrexham for the promotion game, I have been to every Bolton match at Old Trafford in my lifetime from the 70s onwards, I was at Hull on that friday night, I have attended every Wembley and Millenium matches in my lifetime including Torquay,Watford and I run 52-seater coaches/minibuses to the Liverpool '95 Wembley, Villa etc. I am a 100%er in the Uefa Cup home and Away. I went to all the pre-season friendlies in Scotland(at Dundee, St Johnstone, Dunfermline etc.)

1989 was the year my Grandma died(who I loved dearly). That season I went to every match home and Away including all the pre-season friendlies (Atherton LR etc.) I attended her funeral the drove down to Craven Cottage for our match straight afterwards. It was half-time when I arrived I took mrs zoz to that one. I went to the match at Burnden that Collini reffed. I've watched us against obscure clubs like Gretna, Partick Thistle, Newport, Fleetwood and Bury.

The game I wish I had seen was Pisa, and sometimes smiffs talks about it on WWays and I get jealous :angry2:

regrets i've had a few, but then again too few to mention
