dirty barsteward Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 NICOLAS ANELKA has fully recovered from a bruised foot to take his place in Bolton's starting line-up for today's Peace Cup Final against French Champions Olympique Lyonnais. Anelka complained of the problem after Wanderers' 2-1 victory over Racing Santander last Tuesday, where he netted both Bolton goals. After responding positively to treatment, he takes his place in the side. Sammy Lee make six changes from the victory against Racing. He has brought back his big guns for today's test. Jussi Jaaskelainen replaces Ian Walker in goal and Lee keeps with his tried and tested back four of Jlloyd Samuel, Gerald Cid, Abdoulaye Meite and Nicky Hunt. Returning in midfield are Gary Speed, Gavin McCann and Kevin Nolan. There is also a chance for Ricardo Vaz Te to make a push for regular first team football after shining against Santander. Lee will play the elusive striker in the unaccustomed left wing role. Up front, Wanderers go with the formidable two of Anelka and Kevin Davies. Lyon make two chnages from their 3-2 victory over River Plate. Milan Baros and Hatem Ben Arfa move to the bench and are replaced by Anthony Reveillere and Abdul Kader Keita. Meanwhile, the Peace Cup Organising Committee have confirmed that if scores are level after 90 minutes, there will be extra time of 15 minutes each way and if scores still remain level, a penalty shootout will determine the winner of the tournament.

snackum Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Lee will play the elusive striker in the unaccustomed left wing role. Could be a bit of genius and a bit of "See I told you so" to BSA. Could be a fiasco!
