If so I fear that relegtion battle that some of our fans seem to think is so much more interesting, will not be far away....

if faye has intimated he aint going to sign a deal with us and with the ANC in january I fear we are forced to sell, but I would do my utmost to accept a bid from anybody other than allardyce and I would accept a lower bid from another club before dealing with him.

I understand why you are bitter as most of us are with this guy and his dealings etc.

 

What we should do is the same as FSA did to WHU the other week. Let him have a medical, almost let the deal go through then say 'hey wait a minute, we have under valued the player by ?2M, the figure is now revised at ?3.5M'

If it's the difference between us getting ?1.5M and Faye deciding to see out his contract, then I can.

 

As MK says further up, if the player decides he doesn't want to stay, and with him playing in the ANC early next year, then we have little choice but to try and cash in now.

We did the same with Tel Ben, we could have got 2 mill for him in Jan, but he went for fcuk allin the summer ...

If the ?1.5M is true then I say keep him - as it cost us ?1.2M to sign a player yesterday who is very second rate compared to Faye.

He seems the type of player who will be committed for the cause no matter what, and if he doesnt want to sign a new contract, let him see it out.

 

I think Faye's presence from now to the ANC, then the few months afterwards will be worth more than the ?1.5m we are going to recieve.

 

I would much prefer to deal with loosing Faye after Lee has a full season of stabilising the club under his belt (and his 12!!! new buys have bended in).

We conceded seven goals in the three games before he took over, too. It's not as if the problem arose the minute he was appointed.

i think start at the back and get that right, looking at the size of squad now i think we have enough competition in midfield and attack for that to sort itself out on merit but at the moment we look liklely to concede goals every game and that wont do will it
