Mass Demonstration!

I'd be wanting the heads of the board to roll if both Diouf and Anelka are sold, if they do go can you see any sort of demonstration outside the Reebok? Personally I can't, however would like to see something like that happen to voice our opinion of how we can continually spend nothing on players and sell our prized assets!

This is all pie in the sky currently, however seems likely that they both could move and I wanted to see other peoples opinions?

FFS, most can't be arsed to come and support or stay for the full game. So a demonstration? I very much doubt that'd happen.

The problem with having players on the books that are mavericks is when the chips are down they will look for the exit.

Diouf and Anelka are prime examples.

FSA rescued their careers and got them playing as well for us as they have at any point of their careers.

They are now looking ahead to the prime years of their careers and they don't wish that to be spent fighting a relegation battle.

Futhermore, football is (I hate to say it) a business. ?12M for Anelka and ?10M for Diouf represents good profits.

Do it.

I can't make it myself as I am having my tongue scraped but I will be glued to Skysportsnews to see you.

I get a real uncomfortable feeling being encouraged to stage a demonstration by someone using the moniker "DCI"

Have your boys in blue not had their riot training this year and you're trying to organise a bit of realism?

Excellent profit. Stupid business sense. Selling the Hadj and Nico would almost certainly seal our drop to the Championship, which they say costs and estimated ?50 million. I think you can figure out the loss. If either leave it will be because of the player not the club. However, it is a bit worrying that we had an agreed sum with Portsmouth - all tabloid tripe though methinks.

:good: Great idea

I'll dig my 'Warbies out' banner from the loft. :pardon:

A lot of our fans make excuses not to go to the game, never mind

demonstrate outside the ground on a cold, windy day !!

We'll not get ?10m for Diouf in the memory of man.

If we do get rid of Diouf and Anelka without adequately replacing them before the deadline (and let's face it, we'd have a job), the club can stick September through December up its arse, and I'll review the situation in January.

I'm not convinced it will happen, but the vibes aren't great at the minute.

Out of interest, which board members "heads" would you like to see roll, and who would you like to see replace them - do you even know who is on the board, and what they do?

Don't go bringing logic into it.

sorry, silly me

Don't go bringing logic into it.

do you know, you have just summed up all the bullshit posted this last couple of weeks into a single sentence.

Don't go bringing logic into it.

How dare he betray all the values we hold so dear on WWs. Burn him!!!

How dare he betray all the values we hold so dear on WWs. Burn him!!!

And if he apologises straight away he's a witch!

Most of the people who attend the Reebok wouldnt be arsed if we sold our 2 best players. They are only going for a family day out and to watch the opposition.

Selling your better players is a fact of life unless you chose to follow one of the big teams with no connection to your home town.

If Anelka or diouf sign for champs league teams and for big fees I will stomach that, but if they leave for the likes of Pompey or West ham, my days of going to watch bolton on a regular basis will be over, it will be the final straw of betrayal by Bolton wanderers board of Directors and a sure signal that they are happy to become a nothing club once more.

Portsmouth and West Ham are both backed by money from outside football so can afford players and the wages to attract them that we cannot.

For the record the club is bigger than any player and I will still go watching whatever.

Fortunately these are merely my initials, nothing to do with the law! :D

I'll be honest, anything above the playing and coaching staff I haven't got a clue - prefer to generally have a life rather than memorise everyone's status and job specs on the Bolton board! I do know we're still a selling club and never back our managers with anything like the money other clubs in our supposed European contender position do. I know Big Sam managed to scrape us a European place last year on a shoe string budget, that was playing horrible football and since the turn of the year we've picked up just 17 points in the league! Hardly going to draw the crowds in.

My point anyhow is that we need to back the team, whoever the financial guys are should sit down and think about the consequences of not backing the expectations of our star players. Diouf and Anelka leave, quick profit ?20m. Relegation and the possibility of not being promoted again straight away could total ?50m in no time at all, it'll only take a couple of wins and the club bringing in a medium to big named player and the players would all be happy to stay (or at least in my little fantasy world it would be the case).

statements like that really make any futures opinions null and void.

Just to clarify, you mean ?20 million turnover - which in no way represents a profit of ?20 million?

when did our selling club last sell a player?

it wasn't last january when we could have had a couple of million for ben haim

That obviously puts you in the category of the type of person who know's everything about the club, i feel sorry for you.
