So the gate was 8,084 more,it was also bigger than our league gates agaisnt Villa and Boro.This was against a bunch of nobodies who even Gartside described as "second rate" opposition.Evidence that it doesn't matter who we are playing,if the price is right 18,900 Bolton fans will turn up.

 

The club haven't learnt and are charging normal prices against Aris for a match that is also live on channel 5.

There'd be no chance of getting 18,932 if they dropped prices due to it being live on TV but even so it might have got to 17,000.As it is the ground will be a morgue again with 13,000 max on.

 

Why haven't they dropped prices against Aris?There isn't the excuse that season ticket holders would moan because they could let ST holders in for a fiver less than non ST holders.

Only problem I had with Muzzles comment was that it went off on a tangent. I never even mentioned ST holders or those who had not renewed ST's. The very fact that they once were ST holders says enough about their deep rooted support for BWFC.

 

I was referring to 'the floaters' who come along to watch an EPL game somewhere relatively easy to get into and then drift away when things are not going too well. What I was trying to get at was exactly what others have alluded to - drop the fecking prices and get more in.

I was stunned when I saw that after the dismal crowd for Braga. Maybe some of the people who came out of the woodwork for Bayern could consider going? They'll want to go if we finish second and get a Champions League teams. Shithouses.

yeah...but...well...but that does nt alter the fact the ground is out of the town centre, it is a night game, there is no atmosphere, there is no beer on sale, the pies are too hot, the stewards are gary nevilles, you can not stand up, the busses run late, it is a school night, too many people stand up, it might be cold/raining/snowing, CSI is on uk living, it aint like the old days, night games are shit, we will play the reserves, there is no spirit in the team, modern players are out of touch with the fans, gartside/megson/hunt/jussi are gary nevilles, people will sing offensive songs, people wont sing, car park is a nightmare, you can not get served, everything is too expensive, the game is on telly, spend all me money in munich,. ......

But didn't that just apply to season ticket holders buying an extra ticket? What we need are discounts to attract back the casual supporters and a big campaign to publicise them. For instance Fulham run ad campaigns on both radio and on London buses before any game that isn't likely to be sold out.

The whole matchday experience has died a death now. Wasn't long ago there were loads of Bolton fans in the town centre before every game, who all had a booze up round town and then got the train up to the Reebok. Now town is dead, people have either given up going or get into those lifeless fun pubs for families having a meal (Scotts/HPI). Boro was up there with the most miserable games I've ever attended at the breezeblock..........and only a few days earlier we were living it up in Munich

 

Before the usual lot say 'there were bad games at Burnden', at least back then you could walk into town, with pubs to choose from and have a f?cking laugh.

They are charging the normal cup tie price against Aris

 

When they dropped prices an extra 8,000 Bolton fans turned up against Rabotnicki compared to how many Bolton fans turned up against Braga and Man City when they didn't drop prices
