January 17, 200818 yr If i do it, it will cost me as I will not be able to work....oh and im shite at DIY, I cant be arsed, am a lazy bastard, and wont get my hands dirty! You're been spending too much time in Liverpool, I suggest you immediately boycott Goodison and spend some time at the Reebok, just for recuperation purposes
January 17, 200818 yr If its a new build - then surely it will be painted in Magnolia throughout...... which any good decorator and Henrilloyd will tell you is very popular anyway..... so no need to decorate. As for carpets, flooring, etc - surely you can negotiate that the house builder fits this before you move in? Failing all of that - DIY. Tin of Magnolia, roller, some cloths, white spirit, couple of cheap brushes from B&Q....... you've cracked it.
January 17, 200818 yr In todays climate, ring the builder up, tell him you want carpets or you will cancel. Gauranteed if you hold your nerve.
January 17, 200818 yr I dont understand why people buy new build. Don't you normally get less for your money and they are made out of plasterboard. Where you moving to Pabbers?

January 17, 200818 yr They are 150-170k aren't they? Advertised price perhaps. If Pablo's had any sense he should have negotiated builders cashback min 10%. As others have said, buyers market at the minute.
January 17, 200818 yr Author Advertised price perhaps. If Pablo's had any sense he should have negotiated builders cashback min 10%. As others have said, buyers market at the minute. They are not from the builders, but from company that purchased them off the builders, Plumlife .
January 17, 200818 yr Author Plumlife is a Housing Association which purchased the prop in line with affordable housing guidelines set by the Government, So No Carpets are included, and no room for negotiation. The house is under ?150 k, so I dont think Stamp duty is paid. Ground rent is ?50 a year. NO hidden costs, after the ?500 holding fee, no other charges!
January 17, 200818 yr seriously pablo affordable housing you'll end up living next to somebody like you surely you can't want that
