Never really seen the point of it at all, no f?cker knows what it says anyway, apart from the bloke in the chippy.

Its a step up from Elizabeth Duke 'sovs' if you ask me.

I don't reckon the tattoo in the photograph says "supermarket".

This could be a new thread (or maybe an old one dug up): Who's got tattoo's which they THINK mean something but are now wondering?

I have a small tattoo which is a symbolic Icelandic rune stone.

I saw a comedian once who remarked that girls don't mind having them chinese tattos at the bottom of their back, but object to other pricks around there.

Do tattoos really hurt that much? I've always fancied one, but am a total wimp

Wasn't there a story a couple years back when a lad got one on his arm. He went to his local chinky take away and the staff all started laughing at him. Turned out it said "stupid ugly man" or something

I wanted "supermarket" tatooed on me dick; they agreed but had to change the wording to "asda" :pardon:

The best bit about these stories is that it is always someone in local chinky who translates it.

No one even suggests that they may be taking the piss.

Because they would be more likely to take the piss than one that wasn't local? :pardon:

Certain poster off here had his kids names done recently. He researched them on the internet first. I'm convinced the the words translate as "baldy blue-shirted bastard" though :pardon: :D

Ive got my kids names in olde english on both my forearms (very original i know) i was going to get them done in chinese or japanese kanji but decided against it as you never know what you are getting unless you proper research it or know someone of oriental tendancies. My missus told me a story about one of her mates from school who went on holiday to turkey and decided to get a tattoo whilst out there saying 'Angel' across her shoulders, when the bloke doing the job had finished and got the mirror out for her she was absolutely devastated...........it said Angle! Serves her right imo! My advice is, make sure you are 100% certain you want one before going out and getting it done. Fook me i sound like an agony uncle!!!!

Made me chuckle that :spiteful:

A girl I know called Louise decided to get her name tattoed on her back in Chinese (why would you want your own name tattoed on to you?) - anyway, a few months ago, one of my suppliers was over from Taiwan. I asked her what the Chinese word for Louise is, and asekd he to draw it. She looked at me blankly and said she didn't think there was a Chinese symbol/word for Louise. A few days later I introduced her to Louise, and the tattoo was shown. My Chinese colleague said that, translated directly, the word was "lotus" so chuff all to do with Louise.

Chinese Symbol tattoos really are for nobbers (IMO)

Yes they do hurt, I've had a few and they hurt like f?ck, but the pain is woth it in the end providing you have been to a decent tattooist, I can recommend Dave T's as the best one I have been to.

Girls If you want to be different don't have a tatt at all, especially the ones at the base of the back because every fecker has got one of them now.

Joe Brand once said about tatts on girls - why don't they just get tattooed 'seemed a good idea at the time' done in Chinese just above the crack of their arse? And another thing, them fancy dan paterns girls have tattooed above their arses, what's all that about? They look like they are out of a lucky bag and they all look the bloody same.

Speaking as a bloke they look common. But I suppose tatts are there for the wearer and not for art critics like me to pass judgment on.

For the girls:

Why do pretty young girls disfigure themselves (forever) with a tattoo?

Or slag tags.

I will definitely recommend Dave T, he's a sound bloke and a top tattooist. When i was sat in his chair having my last tattoo done someone from the somalian community came in his shop and asked him if he wanted 2 tickets to the bolton v brum match cos the somalian community get 20 tickets allocated on every home game apparently! I took 2 off the bloke and Dave took another 4 off him, every one of them said complimentary! It just shows how desperate its getting to fill the bok now!

Aye,even the Somali's don't want their freebie tickets, rumour has it we're targeting the Poles next.

Ive got the old BWFC badge - wonder what that stands for??!!
