Gutted - Dioufs Last Home Game!

Featured Replies

Just read in the paper that Megson has admitted that this is Dioufs last game at the Reebok in a Bolton shirt.

I have to say I think he has been a quality player for us (desipite all the bad stuff), and sorely missed.

If it is his last game, let's hope he really put the effort in, and gives us one of his good games

At his best about 4 years ago was topnotch, but been to inconsistent for the last 3 years, I will be very happy to get shut for 5 million or more and get in fresh blood.

Definitely. I think his attitude ranges wildly from "can't be arsed" to top notch; if he doesn't want to stay then no point standing in his way.

So before he signed for us, then?

he was on loan with us for the 2004/05 season, so that is 4 years ago..............

and that is definitely when he was at his best, he even managed a goal every 3 games or so, which is a lot better than recent seasons

He has shown glimpses of his quality, even this season, but they're all too rare for him to be considered a huge loss.

f?ck him

leave him on the bench

bring him on in the 85th minute

take him off in the 87th

Says he is out of contract in the Summer on Skysports.

If so, we get nowt.

I though that he had another year left

great player when being managed by a man manager, hence been poor since BSA left and Lee and Megson arrived.

except for when he came back from the ACN and couldn't be arsed (first time round)

To be honest he looked really fckued until the next season, I think he has problems with fitness.

He did play well under BSA, who I think he regarded as a father figure.

I will applaud him off tomorrow.

Took the words out of my mouth.

BSA gave up on Diouf after the ANC of two years ago. Do we all forgot that he didn't play again that season.

Diouf, for all his great skills - flatters to decive and should have achieved a lot more at Bolton than he has. His goal scoring record is shocking.

don't get me wrong, I like Diouf, I'd like him to stay, I'd offer him new terms purely based on his 2 goal haul and subsequent celebrations at newcastle last season

but the post I was replying to seemed to suggest diouf has been poor this season because of how he's been managed and suggesting other sam always got the best out of him

it wasn't a problem with fitness, he just could not be arsed, other sam said as much and dropped him

I hope he pulls his finger out for the first time in a while tommorrow.

I disagree- Dioufy works his socks off- I for one will miss him

Tra lalalalalalalala Tra lalalalalalalala Tra lalalalalalala

El hadji doiuf will spit on you- CLASSIC!!!

Totally agree. Hasnt produced recently but has definate quality when he choses to work.

He is petulant and inconsistent and his goal ratio speaks for itself. His fitness after ANC was a disgrace and i for one will be glad to see him go.

If he wasnt a fans favourite and we looked at the facts then perhaps others would feel the same.

What a load of shite. Diouf is one of our best players and possibly the only one with real quality and skill.

He has shown how important he is to us by changing the game when that giner bellend was forced to bring him on in the last 2 games.

Apart from maybe Stiensson and Davies I would say he cares most about the club.

People don't realise how much he does in a game, the amount of times he creates something down the wings out of nothing is substantial, and there is also nobody near him at standing up a player and then turning him inside out.

Maybe he doesn't run his bollocks off like Davies but that isn't what his game is about.

Yes I agree that he has been inconsistent, but even in a bad game he is our most dangerous player and most likely to change the game. I also think that he doesn't score as many as he should, but he is being played like a winger so he can't be expcted to get many.

The guy is class and I honestly believe he cares about the club and the fans, I don't blame him leaving us, especially if Megson is still in charge, he has had a very good 4 years at Bolton and it has been a joy to watch him. Where some of you get your negative views about him from I don't know, but I for one will applaud him on saturday and then again at Chelsea, and I hope he does well wherever he ends up next.

I agree. He is the one player that, during a dull, uninspired game, in a moment, can change the game. His problem is, we expect that moment to last 90 minutes!

So long, Doiufy, and good luck.

(PS It's usually downhill after Bolton)

There are kids from Austria that have been missing for less time that Dioufy.

To suggest Diouf cares more than, say, players such as Nolan and Gardner is simply not true.

Having said that, I also wish Diouf all the best and worry how we attempt to replace a player with the highest skill factor.

His first touch is truly a joy to behold.

And who is going to win all our corners from now on!

Let's hope he goes out on a high

Legend in my eyes I can deal with the attitude as this guy has given me such moments as when he scored twice at st James park last season, also who can forget the classic dive to win the penalty at ewood park after absolutly no contact.

so long dioufy i will be aplauding you off on satday mark your farwell with us safe.

Him, Stelios and campo last of BSA true stars all bowing out on sat lets not forget them!
