I dare say they'll extend the deadline they usually do

Hmmmmmmmm, and I've not had a call asking me if I am planning on renewing.

Maybe they could get a megaphone and a car and drive round the streets of the BL region in an election day stylee.

It's just a thought like.

surely the fact they ringing people is a good thing.....

in the past they have been slagged for not caring about customers who left.

exactly.last time i went to all home games and it cost like an extra 5 quid over the season accounting for free tickets/?5 tickets so why bother wasting money up front.

I still think the fact they let customers leave their business without so much as a courtesy call is utterly stunning. We are only talking a few thousand people, putting someone on commish only, ?20 an adult ST, is surely a no-brainer?

Alan Sugar would blow his top at this on The Apprentice.

Todays update comes from The BN:

WANDERERS claim season tickets are being bought at a faster rate than at any time in the Premier League era.

Over 10,000 tickets have been sold in just over a month, and demand in the much-lauded singing section is such that there is a waiting list to snap up seats that are not renewed.

With over a month to go before Wanderers kick-off the season with a home game against Stoke City, commercial director Gareth Moores is delighted with the uptake from supporters so far.

"We are very encouraged by the numbers," he said.

"Considering there is six weeks left until the start of the season, they have been very positive indeed. We think that with 10,000 gone in four weeks, it is the fastest rate of sale since we have been in the Premier League."

The newly-created singing section in the 3,000-capacity North Stand lower tier has also proved a big hit with fans.

"It is certainly the area of the ground that has been in most demand," said Moores.

"We are now giving time for people to renew their season ticket in that section before moving on to the waiting list.

So there we have it - 10,000+

Eeeeh, when I were a lad !

I can remember that actually happening, the car going round town with the megaphone, announcing a midweek match cancelled due to some adverse weather. Cant remember the opponents, the weather conditions or the year, but it must`ve been early seventies.
