From reading this thread, a few of you need to take your heads out of your arses.

Ticket sales were poor last season. The majority of the target market will be asked to pay the same as last year. Therefore the sales will be poor again.

It's not rocket science.

Yes, the NSL is a good deal, as is the kids ticket. But the majority are getting no persuasion to buy tickets.

I realise that by not following the club stance, i am now no longer a loyal fan and i shouldn't come again: I should go to the Flute. But it needs saying.

Mounts and Casino amongst others don't want folk posting opinions they don't concur with.

i don't give a shite who doesn't come

i also dont want the club to give tickets away to get folk to come back

frankly i don't care a toss whether you go to another game in your life

i'll go - aye, my decision, made with my own brain - until i don't want to or can't afford it

at 400 quid, i'll be there next year

you enjoy whatever you do, be it in the ground, in the pub or in the garden

we shall see. Sounds like it may back fire in other areas of the ground

you may well be reet

I can't decide.

This thread has not helped me as I thought it might.

Can you get your money back after a couple of games if it all doesn't ''fit?''

I assume my statutory rights will remain unaffected?

stick with it mk

im on your side, too

And me!

survey on sky sports news states that 17% of ST holders at bolton are thinking of not renewing. has anybody on here been asked? i've not and anybody i've asked haven't so therefore where the fcuk did they get their information from?

my first post so go easy on me

Perhaps if the club had been a bit more proactive, and stated at the same time, all ST holders will get a 25% reduction (or whatever) on stated cup prices for next season

I've tried to put that point across BUT I've been accused of being selfish and demanding a pound of flesh.

It seems logical to me, happen I'm wrong then.

Thanks for the support Casino,Bristol and victor, Traf I have no problem with people not disagreeing with my point of view, but I will put up a stern defence if I think there wrong, NB no hard feelings, look forward to seeing you next season and I will buy you a drink when I see you as I did not want to make this a personal issue, initially my comments were general, I think that is my last word on this subject.

My son and i have had a season ticket for the last 10 years in the ESL and decided (because i'm a grown up and have my own brain to think with) that i will not be renewing this season.

My 14 year old told me 1/2 way through last season that he didn't want a ST this coming season because "it's boring and i've got other more exciting things to do that watch this crap" he actually said "shit" but the do gooders on here might accuse me of being a bad parent by encouraging him to use words like that, anyway i think the club have now made that decision very easy for me because of the way they are treating the majority of the supporters.

I actually told my 14 year old about the ?49 ST for this season and his reply was "it's not even worth it at that price"

It just goes to show that sometimes the cost means nothing if you don't feel like you're getting value for money

Well move then! Or not, as you wish! And this nonsense about kids prices in the NSL being too low, how many on here would still be arsed going if they didnt go when they were kids? My 'kid' will be 15 in November, he is yoof and he and his compadres are the future if we still want a club in 20 years.

I think some people are not seeing the point of the argument. I dont want to move and I fully accept that my ticket in ESL should and will cost more than a ticket in the NSL. Always has always will. My point (and I think maybe the point of NB??) is that to offer a 14% discount to a single section of the ground is wrong. They should have either bitten the bullet and applied to all areas, not done it, or came forward with some other incentive. I maintain the tickets are still good value (maybe), but they should really have thought more about the discounts/incentives.

I think if they would have discounted all areas of the ground by that amount we would have sold more than last season. As it stands, as Traf said, We will be pay the same price this season as last but with less on offer (no Euros).

People that are renewing anyway regardless, well done. Every year I have just renewed without thought. But after the events of last season, and a higher cost of living generally, I have to be a bit more careful with the cash. I need more persuasion by the club to part with my money.

We seem to have a decent cross section of the BWFC support on this site, from people that goto every game home and away, to those who used to go and now no longer do for what ever reason. With a cross section like that, along with the majority of comments on this thread, it will be an interesting close season, to see what happens on this subject.

I don't think the scheme's perfect, but even if it was made ?100 per ST, like Huddersfield have done this season, there would still be someone on here moaning.

The fact is you can't please all of the people.

The question is, have they pleased enough of their target audience? My guess is no, but I also think that had they managed to do so, it would have been a loss making exercise.

for me the pricing is fine and will renew for 2 in ESL

for others it is nt, now wether that is becuase people are looking for a reason/excuse not to go or is genuine does nt matter. the point of the pricing structure is to get more people to the game, i do not think this will.

especially (only thought of this today) when existing season ticket holders will have first option on the tickets in NSL so new fans or retunring fans will have little or no chnace of getting the cheap seats and as such are less likely to cone back. there will be a move round in the ground but do not think will sell many extra tickets, so the club has cut revenue and not increased attendances....now that seems daft.

mounts/casino/meldrew any commeny on that ?

It shouldn't, but that amused me.

You know I'll be there. Make it a large one, big lad! :p

I just don't see the point in having a pop at people who's only crime is to state their fair and honest opinion. Some people are happy, and that's great but the vast majority aren't and that's worrying. Surely that's plain to see.

I'm making them an offer: ?380 for an season ticket in the ESL, my client ref no. is 3977, you have my email address. I could probably sell 2 more at the price, that's over a grand!

I will be renewing my season ticket in the ESL after 40 years watching the whites I would not know what to do on a saturday afternoon, I may also get one for my Mrs as its a lot cheaper than the other option of her going to the f*cking trafford centre every week, why dont they move the away fans back to the corner next to ESL this would justify the ST prices as we could renew old rivalries and the banter between the fans will improve the atmosphere

This sums it up really.

I will be renewing because I think its good value for money, a lot obviously don't think so - fair enough but still a shame that people don't realise that comparitively against other prem/championship and in some cases lower league football it's still good value.

I take on board the points about the reductions not being consistent across the stadium, but prices haven't increased (ok apart from these rare situations where people want to move from the North stand). And like Jules says how far do they go before it becomes a loss making exercise? As certain posters have alluded to no reduction would bring them back.

The whites get my season ticket backing for another season. Bring on June 19th (I think) for the fixtures and August for another Prem campaign to begin.

COME ON YOU WHITE MEN

another way of looking at it, the club are willing to take a hit on their income in order to pack out the NSL as a noisy area that is claimed - by some - to get us extra points over the season

maybe thats why the reductions are targetted at the NSL

JSL

Just filling in application now, misses "fcuking hell, total price of season tickets ?818"

me"AND,get it fill in" first post morn. :yahoo: :yahoo:

i think my reply above touches on this

if 20 quid for adults is too much for folk, then the 49 quid for kids makes even more sense

i now consider thos non returnners - and no, i don't mean those not buying STs - i mean thos who want to sit in the pub, as the lost ones

id give up on em now

football is never going to be waht they want

we need to cultivate the next lot, and at 49 quid, we have a better chance at that

one other point, maybe STs aren't what they were

more and more pweople move away from home, theres little straight financial benefit to the individual in buying one, and in fact, its mostly given up if you miss a couple of sunday/midweek games

maybe we should bang matchday prices up.......

Actually that's a good point, or two points in fact.

On the attendance front, well I missed 3 last year and that added ?4 per game to my average cost. Hardly the end of the world, but if it started getting much more than that then I'd have to wonder. Of course its always going to be tougher getting to games from a distance, but as you say, there are plenty travelling from a distance. Indeed, an interesting question would be what the geographical spread of the 6k or so ST holders we've lost over the last few years was <_<

On the general "not what they were " point then that has to be correct all ways round as far as club finances go. Consider when we started rising up the divisions. Back then, no great tv money etc meant that ST sales were a Godsend - get 10k buying at ?100 a pop and the resulting million was manna from heaven. Now - in the PL at least - it would be nowt.

The emphasis should, therefore be on the future and thus, I guess, the ?49 malarky is a bold idea.

BUT it all means nowt if we start shite and continue last year's average of less than a goal a game. And the financial clout to rectify that comes from tv money - ST sales are effectively irrelevant in that.

The club have obviously taken into account that our support can influence the team vastly; fair play to them putting a policy in place to try and make the NSL as noisy as possible. With us youngsters (chavs <_< ) in the ESL continuing to make some noise with the added value of the NSL, it may almost turn into a competition and maybe create a half decent atmosphere at the Reebok.

At 49 quid a pop i think im remaining 16 for a good few years yet :yahoo:

Last week you said in one of your 23,000 posts that you were not getting a Season Ticket whatever, you work nights and take your lad to football training on a Saturday. You haven't done for the last 4 years

...but since the prices have been announced, you've been "advising" the club where their pricing structure has gone wrong. Price isn't a factor in your case

I would not know what to do on a saturday afternoon

There where only ten league games on a Sat last season ](*,)
