Jussi's Testimonial

Aparently as part of Jussi's new deal he has been promised a testimonial IMO they should have a,

BWFC XI V Current BWFC Squad

and the BWFC XI could consist of the likes of jay-jay, youri, bergsson, campo, n'gotty & so on!

what are the chances and it would defo be a sell out!

If he gives it all to charity I'd think about going else forget it, he's made enough.

Aye, me as well. Would go to the odd friendly if they did the same.

in this day and age, I think any self respecting premier league footballer would give any testimonial money to charity

it would defo be a sell out!

nay chance

wouldn't get over 10k

still

select xi would be a chance for everyone to bid everyone else a thank you and farewell

Dont see that put together very often

Exactly.

if he's keeping the dosh I'd not even go if I was living local, never mind this far away.

If he announced his intention to raise shed-loads for a new bit of a local hospice or summat - and he got his phone book out and got a big selection of ex-Whites back - then yeh, I'd do it.

testimonials are 'old hat' these days considering the wages they earn.

they used to be beneficial to a loyal player to see him through retirement,

now it would struggle to buy his next car.

If he gives it all to charity I'd think about going else forget it, he's made enough.

you'll do as youre told

and you know it

Dunno though, offered C86 jnr all Sat home games at 3pm + Sky & Sentanta + a kick around on the park.

He's thinking about it but early indications look good :good:

I should be doing ST Marketing :nea:

You better watch to, we have invested in new boots, I ain't bought a pair since the 80's, some right fooking girly boots.

Good to see some old skool Adidas boots back though :good:

I saw him in Sainsburys yesterday, pushing a pram. I asked him about making a charitable donation. He told me to f?ck off and crossed over to the next isle.

Different era I know but the Super John testimonial was a good night out and a decent game...

...Jussi has to make the charity pledge for this to be a success, potentially it could be a good one as a lot of players at the club during Jussi's 10 years have left the club without a proper pat-on-the-back and thank you from the fans.

What now of Gardner and Nolan - testimonials for them too?

Testimonial are always boring I dont want to get injured games, bring on Celtic or Rangers the atmosphere at Jimmy Phillips testimonial was fantastic

Do you really think that he's been pushing for the inclusion of a testimonial in his new deal so that he can give all the dosh to charidee?

Has he bollox.

Well he can f?ck off then the mardy Finnish c?nt; after all, his kicking is about as accurate as Heather Mills's would be in a wind tunnel (on roller skate), he flaps at crosses like a f?cking epileptic sealion that's going cold turkey, and he spends more time on his knees than an altar boy at the International Catholic Cardinals Convention.

I take it your in the Ali for No1 camp then  :good:

I am, should have fooked him off IMHO.

I'm not sure he wouls push for a testimonial would he? - maybe the club just lobbed it in as aprt of the deal. If he does have a testimonial, then I'm sure around 3K people would turn up, unless we played one of Glasgow clubs, then it would probably sell out (with Jocks)

Seriously though, it's true that goalkeepers have a long shelf life and so the fact that he's 33 to Ali's 26 may not be an issue - except can anyone really say he is getting better with time? Though his consistency with kicking has improved, his overall dependability has not and that doesn't bode well in a longer terms sense. Still a beltin' keeper, but I do suspect that sooner rather than later we'll really need to get a replacement lined up, and that may not be easy.
